Basin in bathroom very small and awkward to use. Use of laundry room for breakfast convenient but needs to be supplied regularly. Good location. Hotel across the road a good option for meals. Very clean. Easy check-in

Our first time visiting had us low in expectation for the most recent trip we had, but it seemed to be an entirely different town this time! Friendly locals, clean look, many food and stay options, family friendly and felt moderately safe. Leisure activities may have lacked, but Canberra is just next door, so that was no issue for us. An overall pleasant town and worthy of visiting.

The place is very clean and the town is well looked after. Has great parks and fantastic walking paths. Everything is easy to get too. Had dinner at the Tourist Hotel. This exceeded our expectations. Well worth going and trying the hot rock where you cook the meat yourself. Easy place to get around. Had breakfast both days at a Cafe over near Spotlight. The meals fantastic. Worth a visit. It looks like it is a family operated business.

I lived in Queanbeyan for many years and was visiting. The town is easy to navigate and there is a regular bus service into Canberra City. The are many outlets for eating and its a pleasant walk along the river.

Heat only heat I can put against this hotel is the shower.

Heat only heat I can put against this hotel is the shower. The shower is designed for short people and the shower head plastic parts have been damaged by the hot water. I love a warm shower, not too hot, and the heat available in the shower is in abundance which I reckon you could boil an egg. I would come again though as this shower head, above described is not definately not a deterrent, just an idea for improvement, and it is good the feel like a giant just that once in a while.

Queanbeyan is an excellent place to stay when you are a pensioner or just mindful of saving money. It’s much cheaper to stay there than Canberra but access to Canberra is swift, efficient and just a short drive. As for convenience of shops to suit all needs there’s no doubt Queanbeyan has it. Next time we go we’ll visit some of the attractions that we didn’t get to see last time.

What's not to like. The staff were very welcoming and kind. We were upgraded to a family room which has a kitchenette with everything you need. The beds were very comfortable with electric blankets for those cold Canberra nights. The room was spotless and a generous size. We were provided with lovely large bath towels and nice toiletries. The bathroom is quite large for a small motel. Excellent value for money, and this will definitely be our motel of choice when visiting Canberra in the future.

we wanted something close to Canberra, at a reasonable price - and this accommodation fit the bill for us. Yes, the facilities are dated compared to newer hotels, but the accommodation worked perfectly for us - studio with kitchenette and small bathroom. Parking was easy and onsite. Bed was comfortable. And it had the Campbell & George Social Club across the road for dinner options (easy walking distance). We would definitely stay here again.

The beds here are very comfortable, the rooms are clean and have everything you need for an overnight stay. The location is brilliant too, walking distance to the local shops, clubs and pubs. There is a fridge and a microwave and dishes for your own meals if needs be. The breakfast is massive and my hubby and I shared one!

We are return visitors to the River Motel. We love the convenient location, the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms and the contactless check-in is super simple. On site parking is a plus and the river nearby with playground and walking path is lovely. Great value for money.

The bed was comfortable and the shower was great and the room in a quiet area of the motel. Particularly liked the recliner chair which made relaxing after the Christmas celebrations very easy. Very happy to book a return visit.
