Featuring rooms with a double spa bath, Denison Boutique Hotel, is just 5 minutes’ walk from Fitzroy River. Built in 1885, the hotel offers free Wi-Fi and free on-site parking.

This time the room smelt damp and in inviting. The mattress was way too soft and uncomfortable. Bottle the one we had upstairs the last time we stayed. Had breakfast one morning and pastries were old.

We loved the Botanic Gardens and the Zoo, bonus it was free and clean. Riverside cultural district was a bit dissapointing, nice enough but nothing to do apart from walk through it, we did some of it but better off walking up the top along Quay Street to take in the lovely old buildings. Mt Archer skywalk was awesome, such a lovely view back over Rockhampton from up there. We also did the Capricorn Caves, it's a must see when in the area that's for sure! Yeppoon and the Keppel Coast was beautiful but we needed more time spent over there..next visit hey!

Rockhampton is a great place to visit, it has so much to offer no matter what You are looking for. Plenty of restaurants that cater to pretty much any cuisine You like. It has some of the best pubs I have ever been to with atmosphere, food and entertainment. So do Yourself a favor and visit and see what Rockhampton has to offer.

We have been to Rockhampton many times.

We have been to Rockhampton many times. There is an awesome Botanical Gardens/Zoo in Rockhampton. The riverfront historical buildings are interesting and the waterfront Criterion is a great family pub with excellent food. The Mt. Archer Lookout and walking trails are a must visit. The shopping and markets in Rockhampton, Yeppoon and Emu Park are terrific. Emu Park, Yeppoon, and The Caves are also must visit. When you arrive, visit the Rockhampton Tourist Information Centre as there are a lot of other things to see and do in Rockhampton itself.

Our trip was a two and half day to Cairns which then didn't leave us any touring time. When it came to food my only advice, stay away from servo's not an option we will recommend. When searching good food/diners in Rockhampton remember to do your research because we ended buying local take-away and eating back in our motel room, VERY SAD & NOT SATISFYING.

Busy town. Lots of accommodation. Selection of eateries.

Busy town. Lots of accommodation. Selection of eateries. Plenty of appropriate shopping options for all. Clean. Lots of touristy things to do and look at. Peak hour traffic is a bit slow. Rocky can be a bit disjointed being on both sides of the river. Generally, an easy place to get what you need when you want it.

Excellent location, very convenient having the Tavern and other food options close by with gate access to the motel. We ate at the Tavern and the food was delicious. Staff were excellent, when we checked in the lady also booked us in to the Tavern and advised when it was best to go. If you are staying at Rockhamption while travelling north I would recommend staying here, the location is quieter than the majority of hotels on the main drag and it will shorten your trip if visiting the caves.

Staff were very friendly, room was very clean, neat and tidy. Rockhampton alone is a little sketchy and there was a tenant yelling at another man in the driveway when we arrived but this is no fault of the hotel. Toilet smelt bad of urine but looked clean ? So unsure where it was coming from. Walls joining rooms very thin- person next door kept tv on all night very loud but again this was not hotels fault

The Quest is a reasonably new apartment hotel in central Rockhampton. It is in a good location with easy access to restaurants. The two-bedroom apartment was spacious and had all necessary amenities including kitchenette, washing machine and dryer, two TVs and separate air conditioners in each room. The king-size beds were comfortable and the design of the rooms was pleasant enough.

The location was convenient for what we wanted to see around the Rockhampton area. Close to restaurants and shops. While the room looked a little tired and in need of a refresh (cracked walls etc), the bed was comfortable enough for a few nights rest. Room was serviced daily and clean/fresh on arrival.

Close to Aldi and the Rockhampton zoo and not far from major shopping centre and CBD. Value for money would definitely recommend.

The location is just as you are heading out of Rockhampton heading north on the right (an easy turnaround at the roundabout and back to the hotel). There are some fast food options down the road but the in-house restaurant is great. The room was large and comfortable. Would def stay here again.

It was cheap, easy to book through Booking.com, short bus ride to Rockhampton zoo and into town. There was also an adorable puppy! Late check in was easy, key was left in a safe and we were given the code in advance.
