ibis Styles Broken Hill, hotel in Silverton

Located in the heart of Broken Hill, ibis Styles Broken Hill offers 4-star. The hotel features an outdoor swimming pool, guest laundry facilities, a bar and a restaurant.

The place was exactly as advertised. It's quite modern and functional. That's the thing with these places, there's nothing to really complain about, but nothing to get too excited about either. The staff member I met was very helpful and efficient. The breakfast was excellent, too. The restaurant is well situated in the middle of the rooms yet under a separate roof.

The lack Lion is no longer a pub, you have to go round the corner to get meals at the Demo Club, but its hotel rooms are good and down-to-earth with nice warm beds. Staff very helpful :)

Silverton has numerous old and abandoned buildings which make for great photographic subjects by both day and night. There is a walking trail to the remaining track of the old railway line as well as the abandoned Umberumberka mine. Sunset at the Mundi Mundi lookout is worth one evening. The pub has good meals and cold drinks on a hot day. You will need Telstra mobile coverage as Optus and Vodafone are not covered in the town itself.

Quirky, quiet, fun spot to visit or stay. Publican and staff at the Hotel were friendly, helpful and good for a chat. Motel rooms were clean and comfortable. Hotel, Art galleries, museums all in walking distance from each other. Sunset on Mundi Mundi outlook over the plains just a short drive down the road. Highly recommend it all.

    What a great place!

What a great place! Hubby and I visited Silverton for the first time, as hubby is a huge Mad Max fan and a visit to the Mad Max museum was our priority. Loved every minute of the museum and well worth a visit. We also visited the art gallery and stayed a night at the Silverton Hotel which was fantastic. Great pub grub and the accommodation was perfect. One night wasn't enough so we will get back there one day as we want to do the heritage trail and just hang out at the pub for another day. Great atmosphere and Broken Hill is only a 20 minute drive. We couldn't get internet access (we are with Vodafone) so be mindful of that.

    A unique destination in Australia!

A unique destination in Australia! It has featured in many films and advertisements. A real feel of the 'Wild West'; The walking trail around the site is poorly signposted and seemingly impossible to navigate from the supplied map. The Gaol offers a detailed history of the town within its rooms.

Silverton impressed us greatly- quirky, laid back and historically fascinating. Throw a couple of quiet donkeys and a touch of a Hollywood into the mix and there' s something for everyone. Friendly staff, good food and terrific accommodation make this out back pub a no-brainer to visit.
