Appears to be a fairly prosperous rural NSW town with an economy assisted by mining operations and the long term presence of a military camp. People look to be generally more sophisticated than in other rural NSW towns

Singleton is like a blip on the highway through the Hunter Valley. It does not seem to be tourist friendly as we had difficulty, for instance, in locating a decent Chinese restaurant. Most of the places to stay are on the highway through town and the road is very busy. This is not the centre of Singleton but that is functional rather than a tourist experience.

I visited the Bowling Club which was a very pleasant place.
I visited the Bowling Club which was a very pleasant place. Great Thai food, very reasonable (as well as club classics). Had a game of lawn bowls there.
Also enjoyed breakfast at Cervos cafe in town (between John St and River) with Manfredi coffee open from 8am on a Saturday.
The Sun Dial was a surprise surrounded by large variety of rose bushes.

The Motel has slipped from past standards
The Motel has slipped from past standards
We were charged extra for plastic key card { $30 which we took away when not able to raise any body at reception on departure
I informed a later phone call from Motel that I later cut up card on arriving home because nobody rarely attended front desk,
Will never return to Charbonnier in Singleton

I had never stayed in Singleton overnight before.
I had never stayed in Singleton overnight before. I enjoyed the boutique shops (something different to where i live) Very flat so perfect for bike riding. Lots of green spaces. Some lovely homes and gardens to look at. some shops did shut early on the Saturday and many were not open on the Sunday. Plenty of Cafes and places to get coffee/eat some good Op shops. Had dinner at one of the pubs great atmosphere and great food. Short drive to wineries, display gardens and other places of interest.

Nice town.
Nice town. Had a wedding in the hunter valley but chose to find accommodation here as it had all the necessities in the towns shopping centre surrounded by restaurants and cafes. And only 20 minutes away.
Peaceful and comfortable quite country Style accommodation while only being 5 Minutes from the main shopping area. Meg as the host could not do enough for us to make sure we were comfy and had everything we needed, and a great conversationist. Would highly recommend as a stopover for a quite relaxing stay in a home style location and a good base to explore the local area.
Large rooms, separate from the hotel so surprisingly quiet. The staff were amazing and offered us early check in so we could drop our bags. Every staff member I spoke to couldn’t do enough to help us and we’d gladly stay again for this reason. We loved the location and hearing the lovely bells from the Anglican Church which is easy walking distance.
Extremely clean, comfortable and quiet.
The facilities were a surprise as not listed on booking.com. Huge shared kitchen with large oven, stove, microwave, fridge, freezer, everything you need. The shared living area was a large space, and we didn't see any other visitors. Great close location to Singleton.
Very very reasonable rates
The motel is just outside the town centre, so we needed to drive for dinner (though there is a restaurant in the hotel). Our room was very spacious, clean, well furnished and comfortable, with a pleasant view. The welcome was efficient and we were in our room quickly. The included continental breakfast was a good start to the day.
From our key collection to departure everything was very well done. I would recommend this motel for an overnight stay inSingleton.
The room was exceptionally clean and the hot water and shower were very good.
We only needed a clean room comfortable bed and hot shower band that is what we got. Thank you.
Spacious room, all family members had their own bed ie family five had children in their own space a rarity these days. The staff were accommodating to our late arrival. The was an amazingly clean well kept apartment and will be back if I am in singleton again.
I loved how comfortable the beds were. I was genuinely surprised. The shower was lovely and large and the water pressure was really good. I also really liked how quiet the hotel was even during the morning and that the couch was comfortable and the TV worked.
The accommodation is very retro, but don't let that put you off. Its a bit dated, but that means the rooms are spacious. Windows on both sides, so nice and light. Far enough away from the pub to avoid the noise. Great value. Parking underneath.
Good guy running Caracourt & had no issues with security there, as it's well looked after.
Singleton Police ? Officer very kindly gave me a lift from John Street to the station, in her police vehicle.
Muchas gracious !
Perfect location! Very honest and decent staff. My daughter left her apple EarPods behind and once she rang them they had put them aside safe and sound. Very very good people. Excellent hotel. Couldn’t recommend more!
Quest Singleton is a very good accommodation which suited our circumstances. The pricing for the accommodation for this location could be much more competitive and less compared to other similar alternate options.
Never met staff but in contact by phone with clear information very helpful.
Will definitely stay at this accommodation when in Singleton again.
Room so clean and tidy thank you.
Centrally located in Singleton. Comfortable and quiet being away from the pub. The pub meal was very good- and you can walk it off by walking around the beautiful historic town.
The rooms were well above expectation. More cosy than a hotel room, it was a shame to only spend a single night. I'd definitely stay again next time I'm in the area.
