Lovely seaside town although I was very angry at the council shooting cormorants out of the trees & killing them with air guns - just as we were having a lovely meal at the Dalrymple Hotel/Restaurant opposite! All because the birds make a nuisance with their pooping! They were killed in droves & not very nice to witness. They did say they only do it 3-monthly but why kill them? Surely just scaring them off would do the same job. Shame on Council!

If you like fishing this is the place to go.

If you like fishing this is the place to go. Also if you like to eat well. the Dalrymple bar and restaurant is wonderful. great beach spot for lazy days and long walks. Great spot to use as a base for all the Yorke Peninsula Silo and Water tank art too.

The jetty is great for fishing and peacefully looking out across the ocean and enjoying the best sunrises shared with the local wildlife. Easy to enjoy walking along a stretch of the Yorke's Trail and taking in the beaches and landscape in Stansbury!

We ate at the Dalrymple Hotel both nights.

We ate at the Dalrymple Hotel both nights. The food was excellent, arrived at our table within 10 minutes on our second night and is good value for money. Seafood trio perfectly cooked, in fact probably the best salt and pepper squid I have ever eaten

This was a trip for my Wife to visit the area where she grew up and her parents worked for many years. Couple this with most of her siblings and children also visiting for her 70th Birthday tea, it was very good visit. The town has changed a lot, and we think for the better. New homes, more people, thriving businesses, along with a welcoming atmosphere from the town all added to the fun and enjoyment of our visit. A very good all round experience.
