Shopping is good, however the parking in the Main Street was terrible. Cars parked over lines taking up 2 spots, main travelling a very slow pace just is case someone might be moving out and they can get a car park, this then causes traffic jams with cars lined up for 2 blocks, And being caught over intersections when lights change.
Sport complex (hockey fields) amazing, was a great place to see, such a pity other towns don’t have similar complexes.

Just passed through and stayed overnight would have liked to stay longer to view more of the area.
When on the lookout excellent view with a lovely sunny day and blue sky and, a nice cool breeze, this lookout had some picnic tables available with walking trails maybe next time.
Enjoyed the Saturday markets while we were there, interesting from locally made products to homemade cakes etc.

As we visit Tamworth annually to play darts, we mostly see the inside of the club where the tournament is held. The town is very quaint and it's a really country and western town. Tamworth has some nice parks and walking tracks which are great.
Nice restaurants are situated in the town and its great to be able to sit a look at the people passing by

The only good thing to come out of Tamworth is any road leading away! The one good thing is the Dragon Palace restaurant. It's very good that's why it's busy. What has happened to the motels? We were booked at
Tamworth Lodge Motel which we couldn't stay at, it's filthy! Then we went to the Town and Country Motor Inn and the pillows smelled of sweat. Hungry Jacks gets a serve for failing to do there job too.

Tamworth calls itself the Country Music Capital of Australia...
Tamworth calls itself the Country Music Capital of Australia, this is backed up by the Australian Country Music Hall Of Fame, and the Big Golden Guitar monument/motel. One thing about the Hall of Fame is it does close at 4.00pm, and as I have never arrived in Tamworth before this time, I truthfully cannot say very much about it. It's still on my bucket list.
It's a beautiful city, nestled in the Great Dividing Range at a height of about 500 meters, so it does get a bit chilly in winter, (Armidale, 100k+ to the North of Tamworth has been known to get snow when the weather gets very cold) so take extra woollies in the winter if you go then.
Was welcomed by owner Esther when I arrived. She was very helpful and friendly throughout my stay.
Room I was in (# 12) was immaculate. Modern room with all the facilities you would need in it. Presented beautifully. Bed was comfy. Linen clean. Room smelt nice. Tv worked. Nice large fridge.
Breakfast was brought to my room (by Esther) on time and nice.
I have and will continue to recommend it to family and friends in NSW and also at home in Perth.
Thankyou for making my first visit to Tamworth enjoyable.
Clean comfortable accommodation, great shower, can fit the jug under the tap excellent. A lot of motels the jug won't fit under the tap..Friendly staff on arrival and departure after a 5hr trip by car from north west NSW it was great to relax and explore the area for the weekend.
Our room at the Econo Lodge Gateway Motel was clean and compact and only a short walk to restaurants, fast food outlets, the Bowling Club and Coles. A continental breakfast with plenty of options was included and we always appreciate fresh milk for cups of tea in the room.
The best motel I have ever stayed in! Spotlessly clean with everything you could need in the room. Comfy bed and plenty of space. Breakfast was a highlight with barista made coffee and many choices both hot and cold. Thank you to the friendly staff for a wonderful stay!
This was the best for pet accommodation that we have ever had. The room had laminated flooring which is ideal for pets and the people who run the motel were very helpful and friendly. There was Foxtel, Netflix, and Stan available on the tv.
The room was bright, cheerful, very clean and tidy. Staff that greeted us were very friendly and welcoming. The location was very convenient to Tamworth and surrounds. Exceeded even my best expectations, would highly recommend this place.
The location was convenient to access the the main road into town or if heading south. Access to the property was straight forward with parking available right outside the room. The staff were friendly and helpful too.
Great location. Rooms old but spacious. Breakfast supplied as in continental was good. The staff were helpful and friendly. All in all we would be happy to stay at this motel for any future visits to Tamworth.
My friend and I were lucky enough to get a freshly renovated room - wow! It was so lovely - spacious, comfy bed, great fit out. The hotel has done a great job on the renos. The staff are always lovely too.
This spot is perfect. Close to main street and all the sporting complexes we need when we're visiting Tamworth. It is our go to hotel every time. Hosts are amazing.
Definitely the best hotel you will find around Tamworth. Everything was amazing from the lovely staff at check in to our beautiful, mofern and clean room.
