We arrived in the middle of a storm, with no phone or radio reception host greeted us and gave us information on what was happening and where was available to eat that evening. Very useful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Undercover parking was handy. The following morning we were able to walk across the road to beach and beautiful park ways. Would stay there again, didn't have the opportunity to use the pool, appeared well maintained.

I have been to Tannum Sands a few times and it is quite pleasant with numerous walks to explore but the weather this time was showers most of the time. Several good eateries there like the pub and surf club.

Tannum Sands was the perfect stop on the way home from Airlie Beach to Gold Coast. So nice to park right outside our room, walk into adjoining tavern for a drink and then dinner in outside setting with lovely sea view. Bought wine from onsite store and watched moon rise from our own patio. Room was equipped with plates, glasses and even breakfast cereal and milk. Shops were next door if we had needed anything.

Wonderful spot, very clean everywhere we went, good variety of eating places. Had the best Steak Sandwich at the Hotel. Fish & Chip shop had great food. The wonderful Esplanade, Canoe Point, every single park we visited was so well maintained. Cafe next to the Nursery had great coffee and a lovely breakfast. You have everything there that you need for a stress free stay. Nothing bad to say about it and I am super fussy.

very good place to stay as a midway point from Airlie beach to Brisbane. Not a lot to see or do......but then we only stayed the 1 night, so can't really comment any further! Driving from Airlie Beach to Brisbane, the perfect place to stop for overnight!

We had a good stay here. We ended up staying an extra 2 nights. The rooms are spacious and very clean. It was excellent to be able to stay here with our 14yr old Chihuahua. The grassed area was fantastic for her. The hotel has plenty of car parking. We received a lovely welcome from Katrina and her gorgeous 17yr old "Mitzy". The motel is in a great location, only a couple of minutes walk to Coles shopping centre. It was great having kitchen facilities. Our bed was very comfortable. We will definitely be back.

We went to see the Fleetwood Mac Tribute show and decided to stay the night so we could have a few drinks and also had a meal at the restaurant. No reception was open had to go to the bar. Room was what we expected. It was clean and comfortable but the view was impressive! Was pleasantly surprised that they provided some cereal for breakfast. Had a comfortable sleep in the bed. Ate dinner at the restaurant it was great. Cocktails were fantastic! Overall it was a nice stay and we enjoyed it.

A self contained motel room behind the hotel, with kettle, toaster, microwave oven, fridge, cutlery, plates. Also single serve cereal packages, along with coffee and tea sachets, milk etc. Large bathroom and 2 very comfortable beds. An outdoor setting overlooking rolling green lawn and watching the container shipping moored waiting for entry to the port. Car parking under cover outside the entry door was really convenient. Adjoining restaurant food was good.

Hotel is old and yes 4 beds in One room, but apartment was well laid out with bedroom diagonally opposite where lounge was so kids could go to bed earlier and parents not disturb them when watching tv. Kitchen well equipped with everything you need. Washing machine, no dryer. Clothesline right outside but our clothes didn’t dry overnight as we only had a single night stopover. Photos taken at end of our stay.

The staff at check in were so helpful! The place was very clean and the beach was just across the road. Truffle Pig cafe for brekky or lunch was only walking distance away as was the delicious fish and chips. Can walk to the Tannum Sands Hotel too for a beer. I can't recommend this place enough. Oh and the pool/lawn area was great. Great value for money and cleanliness.

We enjoyed our overnight in Tannum Sands on our trip north, and so we booked and requested the same room on our journey South. We arrived early enough to take advantage of the beautiful foreshore landscaping, and structured walkways.
