Tweed Heads is at an intersection between NSW and Queensland. A great place to stay both if travelling or visiting the surrounding area. The beach is soothing, the weather wonderful (mostly) and restaurants a plenty. It's a great place to wind down and recover.

Really liked Coolangatta and the Tweed area.
Really liked Coolangatta and the Tweed area. Had good food where ever we went whether an expensive restaurant or the local pie shop. Beaches and walks are stunning, people were so friendly and helpful. Lot's of places to drive to, if the traffic allows.

Anyone who visits the Gold Coast during summer knows that hotel rooms are at a premium, let alone at short notice. We stayed a night to visit family who were staying in Cooloongatta, so this was a convenient option. The room was well appointed with crockery, cutlery, a bar fridge, microwave etc. After going to beach, we needed a decent hot shower and there were no issues. Bed was comfortable enough and blackout curtains were helpful in the morning with the bright summer sun. There's a pool but we didn't have a chance to use it.
The service of the motel staff was friendly. We will be staying again, but not in that room. We will book our prior years room again (we had asked to book that room this time but obviously it wasn’t available). The view was nice with lots of light in the room, NSW shops were close and the connecting Club offers plenty of options for dinning out.
Out of all the Motels I've ever stayed Kennedy Drive Airport Motel has been the BEST! Great customer service, our room was extremely clean and had everything you needed and more! 100% recommend this place! Not bad on price either! If in tweed heads and looking for great accommodation this is the place to be! Thanks for great stay!!
Awesome super pet friendly accommodation! Had everything I needed to be able to take the dog to the coast for a couple of nights. Neat little kitchen and courtyard, clothes washer - lots of cutlery and small things like milk salt and pepper were all provided. The shower was hot.
No breakfast was provided, but it had a fridge, toaster, microwave, kettle, bowls etc. So you could make up a continental breakfast if you wanted. The location across the road from the Tweed Heads Lawn Bowls Club was very convenient for me as I was playing in a 5 day carnival.
A very lovely Motel, pet friendly so that was awesome, the owner Brett was so accomodating, friendly and kind. The room was very clean, crisp linen. Perfect location, great price. I would highly recommend The Blue Pelican Motel. 10 /10
This property is well located in Tweed Heads - close to clubs, shopping and the hospital. It is older but we have always found it clean and comfortable. The bed linen is always crisp, the towels fresh, and they supply toiletries.
This is a basic cost-effective motel. It is comfortable, quiet and unpretentious. We arrived late and left early. It had everything we needed. If you are after basic accommodation in Tweed Heads I would recommend it highly.
I have stayed in almost every motel in the Tweed area. This one is the best. Best maintained, cleanest, fantastic bed. Staff were helpful, unusual to actually see staff at a motel in Tweed Heads!
Everything about this motel was fantastic, spotlessly clean, bed and linen comfy, free biscuits! breakfast included..Best Motel I have stayed in for ages!
