Trudy was very friendly and welcoming. The room was really nicely decorated, very clean and well furnished. Plenty of off street parking and the location was close enough to be able to leave the car and walk into town.
A beautiful place to stay at the beginning of Spring.
A beautiful place to stay at the beginning of Spring. Lots of historical buildings to see, lovely gardens and the river is flowing well. The York museum is well worth a visit. The Salvos have a great jumble sale, items are very cheap and good quality - worth the visit just for this! And you get free entertainment at the same time!

There are little shops and interesting places to visit in the town centre and its surrounds. I enjoyed my 2 days there. That was enough time for me. I suggest planning your day and looking at the opening hours of the places you want to visit as almost everything closes by 5pm. I suggest visiting the Old Flour Mill which has a cafe and an interesting collection of art and vintage items for sale. The old gaol is also worth a visit.

An amazing Town steeped in history, excellent heritage buildings, surrounded by wonderful privately owned properties, being winter the countryside could be easily have been mistaken for any where in the English countryside. Dining out is not a problem with all tastes catered for in hotels and restaurants, all within easy walking.

Christmas in July - awesome and enjoyed the evening. Meals were so large I was sure I had 4 peoples dinner. The meals were superb so country hotel excellence. We also had the meal we purchased for the next night in the venue room. Again the food was amazing as we ordered a child's meal and thought again we were had a large adults meal. We did ask if they did "mini" meals but apparently not they seemed to think this was a small meal. Lovely staff and a great weekend thank you. We were with the Probus Leeming group.
The hosts were very friendly and welcoming especially as my partner was sick and not able to go so I was on my own. The room was delightful, very homely, Jeanette had everything I needed and more, I had my own entrance which was really good as I was in York for a function and was worried about disturbing quests and hosts late at night. The breakfast was great, they also had a lovely outdoor area which was under cover. t was the best B&B I have stayed in and I will be back.
Extremely well priced for a clean, comfortable bed & bedding, good shower with lots of hot water, towels & toiletries.
York is very quiet little town, stores mostly close at 4pm. We had takeout from the Chinese restaurant on Avon-it was very good.
Following am after checkout we went to the Nuygen Bakery for coffee & a sweet, also very tasty. the IGA grocery store right across the street.
Most beautifuly maintained property. Historical building with modern bathrooms. White fluffy towels, comfortable bed. We had the use of a spa. Breakfast was great. The hosts provided homemade jam and syrups to have with our breakfast. Would definitely recommend this property. Must visit the sock factory and many more attractions in York and surrounds.

Lovely place with lots of little unexpected added touches. Home-made scones on arrival. Very nice room with ensuite and private entrance. York is an interesting and beautiful town surrounded by yellow canola fields. Ron was a wonderful host and very welcoming and informative. Generous breakfast delivered to our room. Lovely gardens and decor.
My son loved being able to feed the animals and explore. The log fire kept the whole house warm and cosy and the facilities had everything we needed. Our hosts were friendly and kind even loaning us a double adapter to plug our baby monitor in. Close to Beverley and York except they were mostly closed the days we were there.
A very friendly place to stay. Stacy was very helpful and stayed around to accommodate my later-than-expected arrival time.
The room was very clean, warm and inviting on a cold winter's night. Loved the bathroom too.
All up a great boutique accommodation option right in York. Highly recommend.
very nice staff, very comfortable bed for big queen bed room. so clean, good location, just opposite of townhall. We had good sleeping for one night staying. It was the best one in same quality accommodation in midland route when we travelled WA. York is classic town, should stay longer.
extremely good value for the money we paid, very comfortable beds, nice shower, well equipped kitchen, undercover outdoor seating area, tennis courts, very welcoming hosts, great location just 10 minutes walk to the main street of York
