Apart from stopping at the Heemskirk, we also visited the IGA and picked up something that my wife had been after for quite some time, but was not available any where else. We also attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and was pleasantly surprised to notice that it had been recently renovated to a high standard. We were well received there by the local Witnesses .

We were in Zeehan on Christmas Eve and enjoyed the museum where it is possible to spend hours - there is so much information there. Opposite the Museum was a cafe on the corner (Wildz) where we first went for coffee and then back for lunch. We noticed that they were even serving Christmas Lunch. We went back again on Christmas Day (after visiting Trial Harbour - well worth the trip -and before travelling to Corinna where we knew the restaurant was closed for Christmas day) and enjoyed a beautiful Christmas Lunch - at a ridiculously low price. The lovely owner said it was a service to the community and she was happy to just cover costs on that day. What a wonderful gift to the community and the many travelers.

Lovely quiet town, the old buildings were beautiful.

Lovely quiet town, the old buildings were beautiful. The locals were friendly. For a small town it was well equipped with a small supermarket, hotels and motels. We chose Zeehan for its location, it's close to many 4wd tracks and scenic drives. We had a nice pub feed for dinner at the Heemskirk Hotel and had lunch at the Heritage Centre, lunch was served up by a lovely lady in a food van, the best toasties and coffee we have had in a longtime. We stayed at the Zeehan Bush Camp, great facilities and value for money, highly recommend a visit to Zeehan.

Our stay in Zeehan was to spend time at Montazuma Falls which was awesome. Easy walk but lots of bees near the waterfall. Also visited Trial Harbour which was well worth the half hour drive to. Amazing spot. There is not much to Zeehan township itself but it has a lot of history and is quaint in its own way.

Zeehan is a good stop just for one night when visiting Tasmania between Lake St Clair and Craddle mountain, seeing Queenstown and Strahan in the surroundings. It is an old town now ''poor''.

Zeehan Bush Camping - Glamping set up is fantastic. Beautiful tents, very comfy queen bed with electric blankets and an oil heater to keep you warm. Open fire and wood an lighters provided. Everything you need for a great stay. While there isn't much to Zeehan it is a great hub to tour a lot of Western Tasmania from and Glamping at Zeehan Bush Camp makes it so much better

It is very tidy and neat inside and modern! The main living/dining/kitchen is very spacious. The bathroom is roomy and has everything you need. The bed was comfy and the room is nice. The staff were super helpful with an easy check in and tips on what to do around the area! A wonderful stay, if I come back to Zeehan I'm coming back here.

Pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It has undergone a full makeover and the rooms and beds are way better than in the past. Meals were good size and good value. Due to a change of plans during our stay we had to depart a day earlier and they refunded the extra day without any qualms for which we were grateful.

For us a unique experience. The tent and the setup generally were fantastic. The comfort level was extremely high. They have catered for everything you could wish for in a good hotel and provided this facility albeit in a camping environment.

Large and clean basic rooms, very quiet room even though the motel was booked out, and the pub is next door - meals there are big and tasty. Supermarket is beside that. Good base to explore Zeehan
