The property is relatively new and modern in terms of style. Very convenient next to the airport with a 1-minute walk to the check-ins. The rooms are nice, although the beds are a bit soft, but personal opinion. The pool and the pool area are really great to spend some time.

Teska was extremely helpful and accommodating. On my arrival, I was impressed how big the room actually was for the price and glad I was allowed to check in early. It is a great and safe place to stay in Aruba - I genuinely do not think you need to spend a fortune to stay at a more expensive hotel if you plan to be out and about. Comfortable bed was a key for me. Thanks and good luck!

Staff was friendly. Location was very convenient. Local bus will stop right in front of the building. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Less than 10 mins walk to downtown harbor area (depending on how fast you walk). AC and wifi worked well. Beds were comfy and lots of hooks to hang stuff in the room. No mosquitoes in the room was a bonus.

Very friendly & welcoming people from owner & manager to other guests. Nothing was too much trouble eg supplying a brighter light bulb in a lamp for reading. The rooms were spotlessly clean, the whole place is quirky & feels tropical.

Oranjestad has a few nice areas for visitors with restaurants, bars and shopping. The water is spectacular! It's easy to get around by taxi or bus. Aruba is very breezy and the sun is hot - so lots of high quality sunscreen is a necessity along with a secure hat. We enjoyed happy hour and small plates at Cuba's Cookin' in the Renaissance Marketplace - try the mojitos!

Most visitors are from the cruise ships, and spend a day here. We enjoyed & days of which 3 days were snorkeling on 3 different beaches (more and we would have been roasted by the sun). The town, and especially the museum is very interesting - very Dutch.
We didn't do much shopping, there didn't seem much (apart for Dutch food in the supermarket) that we couldn't have bought anywhere. Lots of kitchy souvenirs near the cruise terminal. If you like fresh fish, it is well worth taking the bus (or driving) to the "fish market" at Spanish Cove. It is just a couple of sheds on the waterfront where the fish are landed and sold by local small-scale fishermen, who will also clean and fillet for you.

I enjoyed staying right in Oranjestad because I had many options for dining out in the evening. I rented a car so I was able to go to either side of the island pretty easily from there. The Arubus station is right there so I think it would be fairly easy to take that up to Eagle beach if one didn't want to rent a car. I was in town for part of Carnival so it was fun to watch that also.
My photos are of Eagle Beach, Tres Trapi, and Baby Beach. Oranjestad restaurants: Pastechi House, Lucy's - mahi sandwich, West Deck - fish/shrimp, and Dutch Pancake House - Dutch Pancake.

The island is very easy to navigate by auto. Many choices for food and shopping at the super market to grill out is a good way to save money for nights you don't desire to eat out. Sunsets are beautiful most every evening. Go to Boca Catalina snorkeling to see the Sea Turtles. If you want to feel young and vibrant go to Moomba Beach Club on Sunday evening.

careful with the taxi drivers - they dont pay attention to get you to the right destination!
also - very disappointed in Zara at the renaissance shops - its a cruise port and hotel and they wouldn't allow you in with a small suitcase - shame on them
did have a very nice dinner at wilamena - highly recommend!
Every minute of the stay was incredible. The beds were extremely comfortable, room was very clean. All the facilities were incredible and well kept. The pools were fabulous. Renaissance Private Island is a must! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel activities and events were great - recommend the walking tour of Oranjestad and the Wine and s’mores night! Food was delicious. Will definitly be back!
I really appreciated Maritza meeting us and telling us about the amenities, etc. It's a wonderfully clean, modern, spacious, comfortable ground floor apartment with a marvelous pool, sleek white/turquoise decor. Fully equipped kitchen/laundry. Netflix for free. The bedding and towels were all so soft and the soaps smelled so lovely! It's about a 5 minute drive into ORANJESTAD.
Great location, walking distance to all the places around Oranjestad and also to the bus station where you can take a bus to any other part of the island. 20 mins walking to a very nice beach. Hostel is very clean, rooms are neat and spacious with comfortable beds. Small pool is great if you want to refresh during the day. Staff is very nice and helpful, well equipped kitchen
Hendrik is a very kind and attentive host, it was a pleasure staying at his property. The apartment itself is cozy, equipped with absolutely anything one could possibly need, and conveniently located close to the city. As I'm not a fan of fancy hotels, touristy stuff and lying on the beach all day, this place was the perfect option for me.
If you want to visit Aruba with luxury AND phenomenal customer service from start to finish, then stay at the Renaissance Marina. My family had the best experience here. The friendliness, the attention to detail from check-in, housekeeping and dining experiences were amazing. We have never wanted to leave a resort until now.
Clean, located in a local’s neighborhood. Going to the big chain hotels, IMHO, does not give you the opportunity to interface with locals. Price was very reasonable and place was clean. Friday nites, at the plaza just down the street, there was a band, seating and dancing. Also, there was a 1949 Restored Chevy!
Literally walked off the plane straight to the hotel. Ideal location for airport arrival/ departure day. The hotel itself was okay, there is really nothing to do around this area. I liked the lounge and pool area, it was aesthetically pleasing. The fitness center was a huge plus and breakfasts was ok.
it is gated community with other apartments. it was clean and has everything you need for cooking and drinking. it is walking distance from surface side beach, downtown, and grocery store. you need to rent a car to go to the hotel area where all the fun is. Shelly was very nice and helpful.
Loved the style, the inner garden was very cute, the owner did everything possible to help us have the best time, and rooms were quite spacious. The hotel was also providing people with chairs snorkels and shuttle service to the beach in the morning free of charge.
I needed a place to overnight and conduct business by internet before my connecting flight and this was perfect . A 2 minute walk from the airport . I could check in and return to the hotel to work. Great internet, friendly staff
The hotel is very cute and clean, the patio is beautiful and they even have beach chairs & snorkeling gear you can borrow for free! The staff was also very nice.
