24 hours is about right if you get there in the morning. This way, you can see the Old Town in the morning, sunset and after dark. Most tourists left by late afternoon, so it was nice to walk around with less of a crowd.

City with a great atmosphere, and lots of things to see and do, including seeing historical buildings and architecture, visiting museums, going to religious sites, admiring nature, shopping for souvenirs, etc. Had no problem finding a good place to eat - I went to Food House Mostar and had coffee in Coffee Factory. Most of the spots in Mostar can be reached on foot. Plenty of fun activities: sightseeing, hiking, going to museums, eating out, and shopping.

Mostar Old Bridge and surrounding area are beautiful and offer numerous waterfront restaurants for relaxed dining. The only practical way around Old Town is by walking. The market offers the usual array of souvenir items and the vendors are not annoyingly aggressive. Great place for a brief 2-3 night visit.

Mostar, nestled in Bosnia and Herzegovina, is a captivating destination that seamlessly blends history and resilience. Its true beauty lies in its commitment to moving beyond the horrors of the recent past. Stari Most, a 16th-century bridge, is not just an architectural marvel but a symbol of unity, rebuilt after its wartime destruction.
The city's cobblestone streets resonate with a harmonious blend of cultures and traditions. The call to prayer and church bells coexist, showcasing Mostar's dedication to healing and reconciliation. Engage with the locals, savour traditional Bosnian cuisine, and be inspired by their unwavering hope for a brighter future.
Mostar isn't just a place; it's a profound journey through history, resilience, and the promise of a better tomorrow. This unique city is a must-visit for travellers who value the significance of its story and appreciate the human spirit's ability to move forward.

Mostar is interesting.
Mostar is interesting. The old town has it's quaint feel, and it is what it is. Step back a few streets away from the river to see what has yet to be repaired from the conflict, before you go to the conflict museum. There are many graveyards close by, and at least one of them should be visited.
It is worth a visit, but no more than two days.

Old part of the town is certainly most famous, but it can be a bit overcrowded. Apart from that it is really a wonderful town, with amazing hosts, good food and a lot of to see.
20 minute drive takes you to Fortica, above Mostar where you can see whole town, go to zip-line, take a walk, some other adrenaline sport or just have the most amazing lunch.
You can go swimming to some of the local beaches on Neretva, or take a drive and go to some of the nearby aqua parks, maybe in Blagaj or see some of the natural wonders, like Blagaj Bune or Kravice waterfall.
For the price, this hotel is everything we could have hoped for. Beautifully modern, well laid out rooms with Smart TV, fridge, kettle etc. We stayed as a family of 4 and would certainly return if we were ever to visit Mostar again. The bar is VERY reasonable (2 bottles of beer, 1 red bull, 5 soft drinks = £11.40!!) and the food looked good too.
Special thanks to the bar staff and reception staff who were extremely helpful. They even called a taxi for us to get us into the old town when we needed it. Don't hesitate to stay here.
cute hotel in the old town of Mostar. Stone style with lots of cute decorations. staff are extremely friendly and helpful (so great with my kids). at check jn you receive a welcome drink and some information. breakfast is included and has a good selection. the on site restaurant is nice and the food is yummy (but pricey - like the rest of Mostar). it’s a max 5 min walk through the bazar to the famous bridge. there is parking available - one option is free but tiny, the other is large and secure but you pay 12 euro for 24 hrs.
I just fell in love with this room overlooking the river. Very colorful Bosnian house in the city center. I think this is the best location in Mostar. I liked my room so much that I didn’t even want to go out for a walk). It was very cozy, like from a fairy tale. Grape leaves grow on the windows. The house is perfectly clean, not a speck of dust. Everywhere smells of freshly washed bedding. Large beautiful kitchen with everything you need. Very responsive host, answered all my many questions)
Apartment Nedo is well above and beyond our expectation. Elo and his wife are very responsive and welcoming. The apartment is equipped with snacks, juice, and amenities such as soap, shampoo, and towels. Elo is also very friendly. Our car was parked inside the secure garage. The apartment is close to old town. Elo recommended several authentic Bosnian restaurant and it was very good food there. Definitely we will stay there if we are coming to Mostar again!
Villa Botticelli was one of the highlights of our trip to Bosnia. It’s in a great location in Mostar — just a short walk to the busy main strip, but it feels so peaceful oasis. We loved sitting on the terrace when we weren’t exploring the town. The innkeeper was great, too. She was very friendly and helpful and gave us some good tips on restaurants and things to see in town. And she let us try her homemade rakjia, too!
We enjoyed this place a lot. It’s super close to the old bridge and the old town. The hosts are super friendly! We were arriving quite late in the night and they didn’t have any problem with waiting for us even though our bus kept delaying. They also treated us with delicious Bosnian sweets and gave us a small present that would remind us of Mostar! Thank you for that <3
The place is also very clean and quite
Hands down the friendliest, warmest staff I've ever had the pleasure to encounter. From check-in carrying all of our luggage from the car to our rooms, a welcome drink and snack, showing us highlights to visit to the extremely thoughtful gift of Bosnian cookies upon leaving it warmed my heart. Excellent location right in the middle of the old town that you cannot beat. Views from the hotel are lovely also.
Hotel Emen is in a great location, just a stones throw from the Old Bridge in Mostar. Staff were attentive and the was spacious and had everything we needed. There was daily housekeeping. The standout is definitely the breakfast- multiple plates of olives, cheese, almonds, dips etc with bread and eggs served with Bosnian coffee. It kept us full for hours! Great way to start the day exploring in Mostar.
The host Biba is a beautiful soul, very kind. She made us traditional Bosnian coffee every morning, which was an unexpected delight.
The location was good (not where Bookings or Google said it would be though)
Quiet area, close to supermarket, which was just across the road.
The bed is firm, if you like a firm bed you’re on a winner.
Good aircon.
Stayed 3 days and had a great time! All people lovely, helpful and I felt just like at home right after check-in. Mostar is a beautiful place that deserves more than just a quick look at the bridge. As the hotel location is very central I recommend to visit old town and bridge in early morning or in the evening to avoid day-trip-tourist-crowds.
The location is great, near the old town and mostar bridge. The place is perfect for a few nights and the hosts were always there to assist us. They even offered us watermelon at arrival and bosnian coffee before leaving. I fully reccommend it, if you are looking for a cheap, clean and simple place to sleep!
This hotel is all about location, and that location is most important (and this one is spectacular). At 5+ is the view from the terrace, right on the Old Bridge in Mostar. You won't meet friendlier hosts in Bosnia than these, the place is also unique and premium - highly recommended.
Liked everything. Nice staff, clean and big rooms, parking was great, pool is little bit small, but ok, breakfast was amazing. Generally, this place is better than some 5* hotels. Mepas hotel does not have anything that this Villa doesn't. Price is amazing in summer season time.
Everything was just like iz was described on booking. The owner is a local, and can give you a lot information about Bosnia, Mostar,…, and he was absolutly friendly. I recomend this choice of staying in Mostar. (In hot summer we just miss mini fridge in room)
Miran ist a very nice host! He is very knowledgeable and wants his guests to feel at home. He does great tours too - the war tour is great to know more about the bosnian war from the perspective of a mostar local. can only recommend staying with him!
Really nice place, a good location, Mostar old bridge is approximately 10 minutes walk. The room was clean, and the hosts were really nice.
If I visit again, I will definitely book the room at this hotel
this was a last minute change for us after problems with another hotel. the staff could not have been any nicer or more accommodating! I would stay again in a heart beat if ever back in Mostar.
I believe it is the only hotel in Mostar with a pool, albeit small. We liked the roof terrace views. Close to the town, walking distance to the bridge and restaurants.
