Great town with many shops, restaurants, bars, and cafes.
Great town with many shops, restaurants, bars, and cafes. Saturday morning market was impressive. Coast line tram service runs up most of the Belgium coast (we had a day in Ostend). Sea front is clean tidy, beach is massive (beach huts available for hire). Train station is accessible by tram.

Although a small town, the centre is very full with shops, food stalls and restraurant. Fries, ice-cream and chocolate are all there. Although as :Belgium, I'd expect way more chocolate shops.
The beach is long and not crowded. It is fitted with cabins that can be rented.
There is an amusement park (and water park) which can make for a fun day out. You'd need to book it.
There are not halal food places around, and the closest thing is across the French border (~20KM).

There was a market in the centre that was lively and full of interesting things. De Panne is expensive and even moderate restaurants cost Euro 70/80 for two. THe beach is long and sandy so ideal for those with children.

Hidden gem.
Hidden gem. Miles of soft sand, with sheltered eating/drinking restaurants on the beach. Miles of promenade, easily accessed with the hire of a bicycle or cart. The town has remarkable architecture, reflecting th history of late 19th century grandeur right up to on going developments.

Lovely town, in summer or winter. People are very friendly.
Lovely town, in summer or winter. People are very friendly. Good selection of shops and restaurants. Lots to see and do. Coastal tram access. Easy access to the motorway. The beach is huge and it never feels crowded. De Panne is a wonderful example of the best of Belgium.
Do you fancy a real hotel, far from the hipster-ish standards? An old but gold kind of thing with wooden walls and a nice terrace outside? Then Montana is for you. We spent there 2 night and then decided to stay for two more, so this explains a lot :) Super close to the beach but not so close to hear the noise of people chatting and strolling. Very good breakfast, a nice family room with all the necessary comfort. Super clean and the owners were very kind. All seems familiar and you feel like home.
Hôtel location (just a few steps away from the beach and the city center), very kind staff at reception, wonderful decoration in the premises (lobby, breakfast restaurant and landing) and bedroom + magnificent breakfast with a wide choice of food and beverages. I also loved the style of the plates which was another pleasant detail.
Very clean room. A bottle of water offered for the night.
Every detail was thought to make the stay enjoyable.
Friendly staff, central location but still quiet. We had the apartment, which is around the corner of the hotel in a separate apartment complex. The apartment was very clean with ample space and two double beds. The apartment complex has parking spaces for 20€/night although it is relatively easy to find a spot in De Panne. Breakfast is good and served in a pleasantly decorated room.
I made the reservation very last minute, like a day before, but this was not a problem. Everything was clean when we arrived, there was some food in the fridge, clean towels in the bathroom. Every morning at 8am the breakfast arrived. My son loved the bunk bed and wanted to stay longer. It is really close to Plopsaland, which was great in our case.
Very friendly staff and lovely rooms. Very spacious & includes a mini fridge which was handy. Decor of hotel is lovely. Brilliant view of beach from our room. Great location, right in centre of town with many bars/shops around. 2 minute walk to beach
We've been to the IDO World championship; We loved being next to Plopsaland and there was enough space for 7 adults dancer + 2 supervisoer; Wonderful accommodation; very well frunished kitchen and nice bathrooms; we really enjoyed our stay
Easy access to Plopsaland De Panne (our reason for visiting), beach less than 5 min walk away and corner shops for late night essentials within 5 min walk. Clean and welcoming with one of the comfiest beds I have slept in
Really kind and helpful host. The location was really close to Plopsaland De Panne and 10 minutes from the center by tram. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I would definitely visit again
Excellent breakfast with plenty of options. Better than expected.
De Verloren Gernoare is located directly opposite De Panne station and very close to Plopsaland with free parking available nearby.
Breakfast was excellent, very comfortable beds, location perfect for families that want to go to Plopsaland, tram to the sea near by, staff very friendly, private parking... very very pleased
Nice friend welcome. Very clean hotel, great location, friendly staff.
We stayed one night while travelling and it was perfect. Would recommend and definitely stop there again.
