we used it as a base to travel out from as we were there to...
we used it as a base to travel out from as we were there to visit Zolder race track, second oldest town in Belgium to Brugge. very pleasant with lots of old buildings bars and shops to visit, also there is a lovely walks around a large lake. before you commit yourself to eat out check the prices as you may be shocked with your bill when its time to pay. well spoken English, with English menus in must places

Mansarde was nicely located in the city center of Diest and easy to find. We were welcomed friendly and the host even offered to put as many of our bidons in the refrigerator as possible (as we were on a kickbike 🛴 from the Netherlands to Paris we carried five each). The room was very clean and comfortable. It felt a little as a sleepover at your grandma's house, this is was both a big plus as well as slightly awkward at times. We could park our kickbikes safely in the host's garage. Breakfast was nice and varied.

Hotel was within spitting distance of the square. Wonderful place to people watch with plenty of bar/cafes. The hotel was relaxed and the staff were great. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the bed and pillows very comfortable indeed. Actually, the rooms were cleaned every day. The breakfast was great. Plenty of food, orange juice and tea. A good start to the day. We will certainly return on our next trip to Diest.

This is a very quirky hotel, you need to leave a trail of breadcrumbs to find your way around! It's located right in the middle of town, so it's easy to get around (once you find somewhere to park the car, but that's another story). You will need your Flemish, nobody seems to speak English or much French either, but that's your fault not theirs!

The hotel is situated conveniently just off the motorway and we weren't disturbed by road noise. The bedroom was a fair size - we had a family room on the ground floor with bunk beds, two single beds and a bathroom with shower. Breakfast buffet was really nice and offered a good range. Free parking on site. It's a lovely looking building.

Orlando met us at the door on arrival, very helpful, printed some documents we needed and offered takeout breakfast as we were leaving early. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast on second day was excellent. Would definitely use this hotel again.
