Room was huge ! No noise from neighbours was heard, nor from traffic. Breakfast with lots of choices, but most warm dishes were at most lukewarm when we arrived at 9H. Big bathroom with spacious great shower, plenty of toiletries. All staff was polite and helpful.

Breakfast had a fantastic selection with enough pastries to need a week stay just to try them all! I do wish they would provide fresh milk in the room along with the coffee and tea options. We asked at the desk and they were kind enough to send up UHT creamer but proper milk would definitely be an easy step up for them.

Everything was great except...

Mercure Oostende is situated only 250 metres from the sandy beach and from the Casino Kursaal. The hotel is located close to the main shopping area of Ostend.

Really central position so very near bars, restaurants and the beach. Basic but clean room. Had a twin room, decent but small. Man who works in the reception / cafe bar was nice and let us check in a few hours early.
