Our favorite place to ski in Bulgaria.
Our favorite place to ski in Bulgaria. The views, the air, the slopes - everything is delightful! And having a lunch at a sunlit deck at the top of Snezhanka mountain is an experience the whole family remembers. Can't wait to come back.

We visited Pamporovo 8th-10th of March 2024.
We visited Pamporovo 8th-10th of March 2024. Very few people compared to other times I was there. It was perfect for all family (two kids of 9 and 10 years), because there was enough snow, very nice weather and we never waited for lifts. We enjoyed skiing in the slopes (well prepared slopes that turned to melted snow afternoon) and also offpiste and in forest. A lot of hotels/appartments near the ski slopes with normal prices. Very beautiful forests. We waked in the forest and saw several times deers (also out of our appartment window). The bars/food on the ski slopes nice with good atmosphere. Only bad experience was the food in "White house" restaurant - bad quality food in high prices - that only could explain the small number of people in the resort. No other explanation found.

Amazing place, very specific in terms of th way all ski runs center on one peak with a tower on top. Deep into the Rhodope mountains, in its highest parts. Great for all kinds of winter and summer fun in the mountains. The locals are amazing hosts and there are a number of local dishes you can try.
The only downside would be the huge hotels that were built and are being built right now around the ski slopes. They ruin the peaceful atmosphere in the lower parts of the slopes.

Good choice for beginner skiers, helpful personnel at the lifts and in the tavernas. A bit too relaxed about certain safety rules (overcrowded shuttles) , so you have to keep your eyes open on these things. We didn't find any flaws about the ski trails and lifts, though. Would recommend.

Pamporovo is a nice and cozy ski resort offering plenty of accommodation options and a fair amount of taverns, restaurants, pubs and bars. Ski area is big enough with a lot of routs, a great amount of equipment rental shops and a good number of teachers (if needed) and assisting personnel.
Of course, as everywhere, there are exemptions, but overall, people are helpful and friendly.

Good location for beginners and Intermediate skiers and boarders. Expect artificial snow though. Bars and restaurants at the centres are good. Lift queues to be expected but should be better with the introduction of a six person lift next season. Hotels a little tired and service not always great but portions are always huge. Recommend the Danmar and Rodopski restaurants close by the Orpheus hotel as good places for local cuisine.
Located near Malina lift, all vibrant facilities are around for those who ski and not into skiing :)Visit the panorama tower Snejanka only 10 min by lift.
The flat had all important for us things like opportunity to use the spa and pool, coffee machine, tea, welcoming bottle of wine, extremely comfortable bed, clean and warm place to stay.
Your sleep will be tight,so peaceful and beutiful nature.
Everyone was welcoming and the food of the restaurant was really nice and traditional.
The hotel is kept at a very warm temperature, event a bit too warm at night, so you will have no problems going to the spa wearing a bathrobe. The staff was very helpful and kind, and went out of their way to answer all our questions. Overall the venue is a very good deal. It is very helpful to have a ski wardrobe at your service and the shuttle to the ski slopes accommodates guests' wishes for when to be taken to and off the skiing, which was a very pleasant surprise.
The apartment has everything you need, oven, stove, pots, pans, utensils, so you can comfortably cook and eat at home. The location stays a bit away from the ski facilities, you definitely need a car. The host is very friendly and helpful, available for any questions 24/7. The apartment is basically a studio - one common space plus bathroom. It is perfect for couples or at most families with one child. Overall pretty good value for the money.
It was warm, cosy, with good wifi connection and all kitchen appliances working. The smoking area on the terrace was also pretty comfortable. The place was on 5 min walk to the main ski center and the lift which brings you to Studenetz, so perfect location for snowboarders/skiers. Some of the best restaurants in Pamporovo are also on a really short walking distance.
The apartment is spacious and tastefully decorated, especially the living room, which is very inviting and makes you feel right at home. The kitchen is fully equipped and even has some extras like spices. There is also a big balcony. Location is great for starting hikes in the summer and would be even better in the winter as it is right next to a ski lift.
We had a very pleasant stay here. The apartment was very spacious, clean and comfortable. It is about 100m from the ski lift, but mostly very quiet. The staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast in the restaurant was buffet style and varied. Dinner in the same place was fine and typical of local restaurants here. We really enjoyed our stay there.
The variety and quality of food was excellent. The apartment was clean, welcoming and spacious. Staff at Kamelia were always helpful and friendly, and in addition to our skiing endeavours we really enjoyed the spa and swimming pool facilities, as well as the pool table in the cosy bar area. We are looking forward to our next visit!
Exceptional location right next to the green(6) slope, a true ski in ski out location which is guaranteed to be useable the whole season. There is a ski rental and school in the building so you can get equipment if not carrying your own. Also the rooms are quite large
The hotel has an all inclusive feeling usually just for families since most of the rooms are just apartments, having two restaurants, pool, ski rental place and kids play room. There is kitchen with some plates and glasses, a microwave and a hot plate.
Just a short walk up the hill to the main skiing location. The apartment was clean and a good space for 3 people. Fridge, hob, and microwave for self-catering. The communication regarding how to access the property was excellent.
Very well located, close to the ski center and ski lift. Very kind staff, helped us with useful information and made our stay more pleasant. The rooms were very clean and warm. We will recommend this location to other tourists.
The location has a shuttle bus that takes you to the slope. It has a room were you can deposit your ski equipement.
The view was superb and the room was cosy.
At the hotel we found a cat that was very playfull.
Location is great, right next to the ski slopes, there is parking space in front of the hotel and the road has been cleaned very well. Rooms are big enough. Pool, jacuzzi and saunda are very clean and nice.
Very comfortable rooms, very good location, it takes less than 5 min by car to go to ski centre, quite good spa services, the personell in the reception very polite and friendly and very good beeakfast.
The hotel has been renovated, including the SPA area which is quite nice. Restaurant has also been refurbished and is much cosier. In general it is one of the best value for money options in Pamporovo.
