Interesting to see the Old Town and new town of Plovdiv.
Interesting to see the Old Town and new town of Plovdiv. Definitely need to make use of a walking tour to hear about the history etc especially the Ancient Stadium of Philipopolis which runs under the H & M store! We used Plovdiv Trips for two tours out of the City which was well worth it. Karmen and Stoyan were both excellent and knowledgeable guides. Plenty of good eating places and friendly

Plovdiv is a city of contrasts, spanning many centuries.
Plovdiv is a city of contrasts, spanning many centuries. You can't help but stumble across history wherever you go. The centre is largely pedestrianised, making it easy to walk around, with lots of bars, cafes and restaurants, as well as shops.
Highly recommend the the Free Plovdiv walking tour which starts every day at 11am from outside the town hall in the centre. Very informative and takes you to all the key locations, giving you a great starting point from which to explore further. Check out the Kapana area for food & drink and the Old Town.

I have stayed in Plovdiv 13 times and will go back many more... It is an important city historically, with around 8000 years of continuous inhabitation. Many interesting landmarks from so many periods of history. There's museums to see, roman stadiums to uncover, a roman theatre to enjoy a show at, historical sites from the neolithic age right through to the Ottoman Empire and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
It has a great restaurant and bar scene, with something for everyone. People are also very friendly. A nice place to relax, eat, and enjoy life for a little while.
Pretty much everything is walking distance of the centre and for the few place a bit further out there are taxis and busses readily available.

The city center is beautiful and clean.
The city center is beautiful and clean. Plovdiv has a nice and well kept old town. There are many interesting sites to visit and beautiful big parks. It's not as touristic as it should be. It seems that many cultural events are organized there.
The location was great, close to the centre and near all the tourist sites of Plovdiv. The hotel itself was very clean and tidy, and the decor was very nice and modern. Our room was great, with comfy beds and a nice sofa to sit on and a lovely modern bathroom. Breakfast was very nice, all hot and fresh and the restaurant was beautifully decorated as well. The staff were very welcoming and super helpful, to non-Bulgarian travellers they helped with parking and what to do and see in the area which was very helpful. We would love to stay again!
... The hotel is neat, located right at the beginning of the old town, on Petko Slaveykov Street;
… It is new and it shows, it has a slightly retro interior, its lower part is literally dug into a rock. The facade is in the style of the old Plovdiv houses, inside you will see many paintings of Old town Plovdiv;
... Very kind hosts - they help with any questions about the cultural program, about sights in the city;
… Convenient parking in front on the cobblestone street, which is closed with barriers for car traffic;
On our way back from Greece, we decided to spend a night in Bulgaria and take a small detour to see the beautiful city of Plovdiv. We booked a night at this hotel without enough research, unfortunately. The room we got was spacious enough, with a couch, a double bed and an one person bed, so enough space for me, my wife and my two children. The hotel is nicely decorated (depending on your taste) in a retro kind of style, and shows its age to some extent. It's located close to a large and nice park.
Very nice hotel in a traditional Bulgarian architecture. Nice room with luxury old wooden furniture. We loved the atmosphere (dont be surprised, it might be a bit dark for those who love large bright modern windows).
Good communication with the staff of the hotel, both before arrival and onsite.
Located in the lovely old town of Plovdiv, and next to Kapana, a nice spot to explore the city for a couple of days.
Excellent family hotel in the old town of Plovdiv located conveniently at a picturesque square that is both quiet and only a few minutes walk from many of the places to visit. Clean and spacious room, great bathroom, nice breakfast. And most importantly the owner, Dimitar, is a great host that takes exceptional care for the comfort and wellbeing of the guests. Overall a great experience.
Basic clean hotel in the old town. Plenty of breakfast bulgarian style, English(black) tea available. Very quiet at night. Owner was around and helpful although does not speak English (German). Shower was hot. There is a garage but bringing the car to the hotel in the dark was an experience through plovdiv's very narrow lanes!
Located in the old town so close to attractions.
Excellent value for money; free parking available next to hotel, very good location - right in the historical Old Town, all the attractions are within short walking distance; the owner, Mitko, is very friendly and welcoming, he gave us great tips on most efficient routes and trendy places to visit. Delicious breakfast, freshly home made by Mitko, including excellent coffee.
Charming hotel, situated in a 200 years old building, in the heart of Plovdiv's old city. The room was furnished and decorated in this old, classic style. Centrally located in the old town, so it is very convenient to stay in. Breakfast was good, and one can seat in a stylish dining room or in the garden.
Nice, quiet place in the old town of Plovdiv. The staff is very kind and helpful. Very close to the hotel is full of historic sites and museums. The ancient theatre is nearby, a lovely place for concerts. The "Kapana" area is full of various small restaurants, food corners, cafes.
A comfortable, well appointed, hotel staffed by friendly, helpful people. It is ideally positioned close to the Old City and on the corner of the thriving Kalpana area - so easy walking distance to all of Plovdiv's major attractions. One couldn't ask for better!
The hotel was lovely and clean. Our room was very spacious with a lovely modern bathroom. It’s in a great location with a lovely typical Bulgarian bar and restaurant opposite. The hotel staff were friendly and efficient. We would definitely stop here again.
Great location near the old town. Breakfast was good. Be careful to read the booking message carefully and to ask for parking in advance. But you can also park on a street near the hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
Excellent location of hotel , in the middle of the old town.Very good room , clean and with good facilities. The lady at the reception was extra kind and a great host. Car Parking was safe and well located close to the hotel.
Very new and comfortable and large rooms. Like 5 star boutique hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable. In the heart of Old Plovdiv. You can park fron of hotel in Blue Zone by 2 Levs per hour.
Best Botique hotel in Bulgaria. Great ambience, personal touch and attitude towards meeting the guests. perfect location (2 min from Main Street, Plovdiv theater) and amazing view towards the ancient theater and old town.
The hotel is located next to a beautiful park (the windows in the room overlooked the park). Friendly staff, clean comfortable room, delicious food in the restaurant. Very close to the old town (15-20 min walk).
