Ruse is a very small town.
Ruse is a very small town. The restaurants are quite good and the prices are very affordable. It also felt very safe to walk around. Would recommend walking around the city center and getting some icecream from local shops. Most people speak English or have menus in English and Romanian.

I was in Ruse for work.
I was in Ruse for work. Therefore I had the advantage of friends who live in Ruse and who know where the good bars and restaurants are located.
Like most of Bulgaria, the first trip on your own could be a little bewildering. Try not to use chain hotels and restaurants - customer-service is not part of staff training!! Try to use family-run facilities.

Ruse is a very sweet town on the Danube River, with beautiful architecture. We only spent two nights there but enjoyed some very excellent meals and did a little shopping. We also drove out to the Basarbova monestary nearby.

Wonderful peaceful city on the Danube.
Wonderful peaceful city on the Danube. The best gateway into Bulgaria. Often people are just passing through before or after crossing the Friendship Bridge by car or train, but it is definitely worth stopping a while.
I visited Hotel Arletti for the period of 10 days and I stayed in the apartment, it was extremely well furnished and maintained also I was very satisfied with the service always friendly and smiling staff they are always ready to help you with whatever you need. The location of the hotel is very close to the town (everything is a 10-minute walk away from the hotel). I would definitely stay in this hotel again if I visit the city of Ruse again. I can recommend it to everyone
You couldn’t beat the location, right on a square connected to the main pedestrian avenue. We had a car, and the hotel had some designated spots across the street—free! The room was compact but super functional. It had a desk and a chair. Each side of the bed had its own nightstand and lamp. The breakfast was just fine. We didn’t try macaroni for breakfast, but maybe it’s a common breakfast food here.
The location is really good. It is very close to the centre. You can just walk and will be there in 5-10min. In addition, it is super easy to park right in front, which is a plus Ruse.
The room also has everything one need.
The staff was super friendly and provided the key for check in even though we arrived very late at night.
The first thing we liked it was the city - very picturesque Ruse. The hotel is located right in the heart of the city: but this is precisely what caused our dissatisfaction with the hotel.
Breakfast was acceptable, buffet.
New pleasant hotel, smells good. The room was warm and there was a bottle of water. Good beds.
The apartment is cozy and perfectly heated during winter season. Great communication with the host. Situated at the center of Ruse the location is perfect to visit all central monuments, museums, restaurants and to do long walks on the pedestrial area of the town. Definitely will visit again.
It was a very nice stay overnight in the Hotel, heading to our next destination. The host was really polite, friendly and very flexible (made a change for the room, to have kids next to us). The terrace at the ground floor is just amazing. Really recommend it for the family stay and relax.
The apartment is really nice to stay in Ruse. It is highly recommended. Everything is very modern and has everything needed for a stay. The host is really kind and polite.
The apartment was big, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast very good 👌. We are always staying in Dunav Plaza and is the best hotel in Ruse by far.
