Superb warm welcome from Nicky and the staff, the room exceeded expectations. I was in the converted bank building because the usual hotel was full as I'd booked late. It's in a nice quiet part of town overlooking the park. Huge beautiful windows and very comfortable beds. And the coffee from the machine outside is pretty good. Thank you! I hope to stay again.

We arrived early at the property and the lady on reception was friendly and let us leave our bags at reception while our room was prepared. Gave a good restaurant recommendation when asked and also let us leave our luggage at reception after checkout while we waited for our onward transportation. Excellent location close to the river and a short walk to the fortress. Quiet street. Comfortable beds. Communication was in Bulgarian so can't comment on language ability of staff

Vidin is a charming small city. The park, architectural and historical monuments, and the art museum provide interesting sights for 2-3 days. Just sitting in the park along the Danube watching the river traffic is a relaxing time. If you're looking for a couple of days to just slow down, it's a great place.

Nice town with lively promenade/park along the Danube.
Nice town with lively promenade/park along the Danube. Fortress "Baba Vida" has a long history, had historically withstood sieges, and served as home base for regional rulers. The new bridge nearby has made Vidin the obvious choice for a one-day stopover, and I don't regret it.

The rather small city has a lot to offer and same is valid for the areas in vicinity (max 60-80 km). Very nice natural objectives (caves and mountain trails) but also a lot of historical objectives (fortresses, churches, etc).
Good restaurants and a nice walking area on the Danube are recommended.

Vidin may visibly be the poorest administrative city in Bulgaria but it certainly offers a treat for the eye with its examples of beautiful architecture. The famous landmark of Vidin - the Baba Vida fort is also enjoyable for views both from the inside and from the top of it. Enjoy a stroll along the Danube and wave a hi to Romania which is visible on the other bank of the river. Also, everything here seems to be considerably more inexpensive compared to the rest of Bulgaria.

It is a great city on the Danube River just by Danube Bridge 2, which leads to Romania. It has fantastic garden with great shade, wide walking areas, many resting places, excellent restaurants, playgrounds for children. By the end of the park is the famous and authentically preserved fortress Baba Vida. Most people find the city clean, quiet, pleasant and relaxing.

Vidin feels like a resort town, even if it isn't.
Vidin feels like a resort town, even if it isn't. Very relaxed and pleasant, many green areas, especially the long river park along the Danube. The Danube dominates the town and is a majestic river, one can sit in the park and watch the ships. The main attraction of town is of course the medieval fortress Baba Vida, which is very interesting to explore, but we enjoyed the Epigraphical Center in close proximity as well. In general, Vidin has exciting history, including of a large and very old Jewish community, departed after WW2. The Synagogue is now under renovation - and we are looking forward to visit again in 2023 when it will be ready as a tourist/cultural center.
We ate in 2 places - Danube Fish & Grill, on a boat in the river, and Teatro, in the park, and both places surprised us with the quality of the food for the prices, simply great. Local fish soup Salamura and local red wine Gamza are warmly recommended. In general, we spent 2 nights in Vidin and had a great experience altogether!
Nice breakfast, not so many choices but using Bulgarian tasty vegetables, clean restaurant indoor and outdoor tables, hotel located practically in the city park, Danube visible from restaurant, from some hotel rooms also, Vidin fortress at max. 5 min. walking distance through the same park, several other nice restaurants available at the Danube shore or in the city, very close also, ethnography exhibition free-of-charge over the street opposite from the fortress, city park full of Bulgarian people walking in the evening ...
- I liked first of all that the owner of the hotel was speaking Romanian since i don't speak Bulgarian at all.
- I liked that the room had TV, Air conditioner and a separate bathroom with toilet, shower, and sink with mirror.
- I like that the hotel have near everything necessary if you're with your car: a gas station across the street, an autoservice, car wash & a restaurant 50m ahead, a parking place behind the hotel.
Hotel great location, good secure parking. Restaurant was shut due to Covid restrictions, but the staff were great in telling us where we could get food. Room was an excellent size, and shower was great. Hotel very clean would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Vidin. Excellent value for money
A lovely place to stay. The owner was really friendly and helpful. The hotel is small and the rooms individually furnished with lots of character. A good breakfast. The hotel is convenient for the bus and train stations. It is also close to the river and the park with its cafes and restaurants.
Ery nice hotel. We came back here second time. The SPA still not working. Everything nice except that no cleaning services were provided during our 3 nights stay. Very good value. Recommended if you are around.
Great location walking distance to town square and river. The standard hotel room with all the amenities, it felt the most like a typical American hotel room of all the places we stayed in Bulgaria.
I have stayed in Vidin many times. I knew this hotel from a previous visit some years ago. The room was clean, Hot water worked, parking was aavilable although limited. everything was clean.
I had cozy and spacious room with AC, TV and small refrigerator, right next to the city centre, train and bus station, with big supermarket nearby. Felt more like a guest room than a hotel.
Breathtaking view from the room!
The room is spacious, probably was renovated recently. Beds are comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is located in the city center.
Great location. Good restaurant. Friendly staff. Free parking spots. Interactive TV. The best thing about the hotel was that credit or debit cards were not required to book a room.
I have stayed at this hotel before and always happy to return. Excellent service by friendly and helpful staff. Room is always clean and fresh, bar and restaurant on site.
The free parking right in front of the hotel, the A/C was working fine, the reception lady kinda sorta understood Russian, though couldn't speak it. The wifi worked good.
The hotel is located in near distance to some of the most interesting landmarks in Vidin. The staff is more then polite and welcoming. Everything was perfect!
