This is such a nice place. I am a fan. It.is not very luxurious, but it has peace, hospitality, care for detail. An oasis, a paradise.
OK, there is no air conditioning, but the rooms are large and well vented. The nights are cool enough to sleep well. There is a little fridge in the room, the electric shower is well mounted and provides sufficient water at any temperature. Breakfast is fresh, good quality and wide variety.
The garden is like the garden of Eden. So much care and detail. The view on the Grande Pedreira never stops inspiring.
The location is great for discovering the Serra. It is just outside the village, providing quietness. And still: restaurants with very nice grilled picanhas and supermarkets all are within 5 minutes driving.
I love the hosts. It shows they provide hospitality with their hearts. Reception, breakfast, cafézinho. Ótimo.

These views!! Everywhere you look is lush nature, hummingbirds, eagles and butterflies and there's even goggles and a book to watch birds from the pousada.
Breakfast was amazing, lots and lots of choices: fruit salad, eggs, pão de queijo, two types of homemade cakes and more, all with those gorgeous views and the sounds of nature.
The room was large and the bed very comfortable.
Michele is very friendly and attentive, you can tell she puts a lot of love into everything in the pousada.

Great place to visit!
Great place to visit! We love it especially on weekdays when it is more quiet and not too crowded at the waterfalls. Cachoeira Grande is the closest waterfall with few places to swim, few times went there already and will be back again!

There is the little town Serra do Cipo and there is the Natural Park Serra do Cipo. The park is huge that it has 3 main entrances. You can chose from several trails and waterfalls, graded according to the level of difficulty. The picturesque town is outside the park , there you’ll enjoy plenty of movement, it is almost always filled with visitors, some passing by, and some staying over at the many hotels, guesthouses, and home rentals. Regarding food and shopping, well, there are many restaurants, bistros, ice cream shops and souvenir stores. It can be visited on a day trip from Belo Horizonte, it is just a 2 hours drive, in fact locals do so to enjoy the breathtaking views of the Serra do Cipo and its surroundings, specially from the lookout points set on the road.

This quite rugged mountain range is a short 1 1/2- 2 hour drive from Belo Horizonte..... most of the tourists are from there. Weekends can be crowded, weekdays are quiet. Excellent hiking trails, quite wild once you are an hour or two on the trail. Waterfalls with beautiful pools to swim in are controlled access nowadays, with entrance fees and eager guards checking that you don't smuggle alcohol in. The good old days (just 5 years ago) were more relaxed. This place grows on you, as it is wilder and much larger than it looks when you first arrive. Accommodations and restaurants are plentiful and cheap.

Amazing background view with a big hill and a bougainville welcoming the visitors; next to "véu da noiva" waterfall; near "cachoeira grande" waterfall (better than véu da noiva); easy to find (despite failure on google location); delicious breakfast; polite staff; cozy room; beautiful hotel design; they have a bistrô; i met their pet Luke (a big german shepherd that acts like a puppy).
I loved staying here! The balcony in my room with hammock was awesome, really enjoyed admiring the great views from there. The vegan breakfast is amazing, everything is homemade and there is a lot of choice. The gardens are beautiful - lots of different kinds of plants and decorations. The pousada has a really relaxed vibe too, so it's a great place to relax. I highly recommend it.
Best accommodation I already knew on Serra do Cipó.
This is a new hotel, very clean, comfortable and have a nice hot pool. Calm and quiet place, still very near the city center and the main local attractions.
The breakfast is amazing. Pão de queijo and delicacies are homemade, always 5 stars food!
The service quality exceeded our expectations.
Certainly a great experience!
The pousada is located in the quiet area, in the lush garden. You can easily park your car next to your room. Breakfast is very good, you can ask for scrambled eggs in addition to other available options. Dona Mariza makes sure her guests feel taken care of. We loved sitting in front of our room, looking at the garden and the mountains.
Amazing place! Very central location, the room was exactly as advertised, the pool was also very good. The breakfast was a highlight, with local dishes. And the personal was extremely kind and attentious. I can just recomend this place.
It's a very cosy and clean pousada.
The owners are so nice and help you wherever they can.
The breakfast is really good !
The 'rock theme' is very original and nice.
