HOTEL IS OLD,NEEDS UPGRADES FRONT DESK STAFF NOT FRIENDLY BAD MANAGEMENT: -I waited for service at the pool for an hour. I went to front desk to complain, they said someone would be there in a bit, still took another half hour to have pool service. - I order one type of drink but it came another. -Out of the 4 machines at the fitness center(which had only 2 treadmils, 1 eliptical and 1 bike) only 1 was working. - Room keys had to be changed daily at front desk because the magnetic strips loose the power by the end of the day. -Hot water in the shower would go on/of making water either really cold or really hot. -No shower cap in the bathroom, when we asked for one at 9pm they told us to go downstairs to get it instead of bringing it to the room -There is a charge of R$5 for each silverware if you need one to eat at the room 😳 **The pleasant points at the hotel were: pool, breakfast and lady who served us at breakfast(Cassia), she was friendly and attentive to customers needs. Sorocaba is a city 100km from Sao Paulo, has a huge bike trail around the whole city, many walking areas, a big ZOO, Botanical Gardens, great restaurants, shopping malls and one of the best swimming pool clubs in Sao Paulo state, but is a city geared towards business more than leisure travelers. Worth knowing it.

Sorocaba is not a city of sights - there is little to see. There is a tourist information centre at the old railway station, who were very friendly. There were also some friendly "growler" bars.
