Had the chef’s special at Armour Mountain Restaurant which was a turkey dinner. Large portions and it was delicious. Noticed lots of people getting pizza for take out so assume it must be good too. Highly recommend this diner.

The riverside was cool and refreshing in the heat of the day. The deer walking around the community was a beautiful site. People in the community were very friendly and welcoming.The Stage Coach has a great breakfast.

We have stopped in Barriere several times over the past ten...
We have stopped in Barriere several times over the past ten years, and stayed in three of the motels there. Barriere is about the upper limit of a comfortable day's drive from the Edmonton area (this trip took us nine hours, with stops) and puts us well on the way for reaching Vancouver on the second day. Food choices are limited, but in our last two stays we enjoyed Sam's Pizza & Rib House.RickeyCanada - 10Scored 10
The motel was just off the highway in a beautiful valley.
The motel was just off the highway in a beautiful valley. The room was spotless clean. The only problem was that the GPS gave us the wrong directions...be advised! I would definitely use and recommend this motel. There was also a road towards the mountains for a nice walk...We saw horses and sheep. It was a good ending for a long drive from Edmonton.LindaCanada
