Canmore was very beautiful and warm today. Parking was accessible, stores were friendly. Main Street Canmore blocked off. Great signage to get to places. We ate at Boston Pizza dinner was great ie Spaghetti in Marinara sauce with Salmon filet.
I enjoy the atmosphere in Canmore more than Banff. We enjoyed walking down by the river. I would suggest parking by the ball diamond’s and bike park and accessing the trail to the river there. We also did the small hike to the Three Sisters lookout. We parked at the off leash dog park and climbed down to the dry creek bed. Follow the rocky creek bed and it narrows and it takes you right to a quiet little pond area with beautiful views. Besides the part where you have to get down to the creek bed, there is no incline. The rocks are uneven so hold hands and go slow. And it was a short walk that is perfect for beginner hikers.
We enjoyed the walk along the river pathway and strolling down the main street as many great shops and friendly people. There are several art galleries, incredible coffee and the Alberta gift shop too. Highly recommend the bison burger at the Woods restaurant and everything is delicious at The Table restaurant. But mostly the views of the mountains are spectacular, the fresh air and being in nature is so good for the soul.
Canmore is a great little town that's always full of life on the streets. Great shopping, many great places for coffee, you won't go hungry with the many restaurants to choose from. Surrounded by mountains it's a place you won't want to leave! If you venture out early in the morning you might spot some local wildlife walking the streets.
We really like travelling up to the Nordic Centre and up the road to Spray lakes for the spectacular views. We love going to Patrinos for pizza and the Blake for live bands. The dollar store has a lot of trinkets and goods for reasonable prices. The Tin Box is a great eclectic store with lots of cool stuff!
I was quite pleased with Chateau Canmore. It’s close to all amenities, clean, bright and the bed was so comfortable. The kitchenette was perfect, coffee and supplies were a bonus. I would stay here again.
Incredible location in Canmore (quiet yet steps away from Main Street) and beautiful decor throughout the hotel. I arranged a 50th Birthday party for 12 guests. The receptionist and restaurant staff were incredible in helping plan -- made for a truly memorable and magical evening surrounded by close friends. HIGHLY recommend to stay here in Canmore -- is a gorgeous view of the Three Sisters mountains at their rooftop pool!
Canmore
We needed a place to rest our heads between days of hiking. Cute building, beautiful neighbourhood (but hard not to in Canmore). Front end staff Wilma was fantastic, very personable and made a great first impression upon checking in. Building amenities limited due to COVID, but didn’t deter from experience. Great quality and value, it’s a budget hotel that delivers!
Canmore
Staff found a place to store some items for us when we were in the back country for a few days. This was major. Canmore was on a boil water advisory so staff provided bottled water at no charge. Hotel provided free wine, cheese, crackers and grapes in the lounge on the weekend.
It’s our second stay in a little over a week and the front desk staff remembered us! That was a surprise with a warm welcome. Our dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant was really good plus we had wonderful service. Really nice location in Canmore!
The staff was super friendly and the was clean, receptionist was super helpful and friendly evertime we called. I stayed in so many hotels in Canmore but this was the best, I will stay in this hotels for the rest of all my trips to Canmore.
right in the Center of Canmore so you can walk to get breakfast or go to the shops and then the trails around the river start right out of town so you can just walk from the hotel to the river.
Canmore
This accommodation was the last available option under $250 within one of Canada's most visited tourist areas. I was excited that we didn't have to pay $400 for a hotel room.
Canmore
