Very clean, very comfortable bed and pillows, spacious room with extra seating.
I loved that you could walk everywhere. Lots of restaurants and bars, and little shops. In the summer the beach would be very inviting.
We went to a pub at night before our show at the Victoria concert hall,. We had a excellent breakfast at the buttermilk cafe.

Cobourg has something for everybody.
Cobourg has something for everybody. It's a quiet town with an interesting combination of (1) a sizeable marina catering to serious boaters & sailors, (2) a large sandy public beach area that attracts mostly families, and (3) a quaint historical tourist/restaurant zone that seems to be frequented mostly by seniors.

A beautiful town with some spectacular houses. Loved the marina and the houses along the water. Next time we're there, I'd love to walk around the town and see the sights and the concert hall
We arrived as the sun was setting and had to leave before noon the next morning

The town was charming.
The town was charming. Nice old homes, a beautiful large beach with a nice marina as well. Some nice restaurants and very close to Port Hope which we visited as well.
Unfortunately they roll up the sidewalks downtown between 8pm and 9pm. We left our room on Saturday night at 9:30pm to get something to eat and everything was closed except the fast food joints close to the highway.

Cobourg is a delightful town full of history and boasts the best beach on Lake Ontario (in our experience). It's very accessible, not only by road but enjoys excellent train service as well. Although it is growing quite quickly it has managed to retain its small town charm.
There is plenty of parking, and it's very easy to walk to anything downtown. The hotel itself was very quiet, to the point where you weren't sure if anyone else was there. The room was very small, but quite comfortable. Make sure you read the room description as many rooms don't have full baths. This place is very quirky with lots of vintage decor and twisty small hallways that feel like a maze. If you like unique stays, this will be perfect, but if you want a more traditional hotel it may not be quite your thing.
Location was ideal for going to the beach and for accessing the shops and cafes along the main road. Parking is off street. The room was big, the bed was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The ceiling fan worked well to keep the room cool. No need to turn on the A/C window unit. The quirky room with former prison cells was charming. Good value for money.
Peaceful , walks along the beach, view on Lake Ontario, beautiful garden layout.
Comfortable chairs everywhere, many books to chose for reading or leave your own books when read..
Free parking at the Willowmere.
Cobourg is a l small lively city with nice restaurants & shops .
For us it was the perfect holiday., we love to come back next time.
Cute little hotel in a treed natural environment with friendly check-in staff.
Big carpet free room. Working bathroom fan.
Mattress has fairly soft top but firm enough so it doesn't cave in.
Bedding comfortable and made right.
No old or chemical smells. No toxic air sanitizers or perfume smells.
Slept very well.

The hotel is located downtown within easy walking distance of a number of restaurants as well as the public beach. Although the hotel has no on-site staff to handle problems, even fully booked there were no parking or noise issues from other guests.
Price, location, a lot of restaurants around the motel within a few minutes drive...Cobourg beach (Victoria park) 6 minutes drive away, parking literally in front of the room door, very clean, 2 queen beds, it was perfect for what we needed
Take-away breakfast was adequate and convenient. Wifi was better than any of the 4* and 5* chains on our journey. Outside Cobourg proper, but only by about 5 minutes. Close to great local restaurant, Baltimore John's.
The breakfast did not have very many options, there was no croissants, bagels, nor was there any cream cheese or fruit, which is unheard of at a hotel, even a motel would have those things.
Food was excellent for dinner and breakfast.
View was lovely and relaxing (we even saw 3 deer walking in the distance).
Lovely walking trails near the hotel.
