I had a nice big room with a desk to work on and large opening windows. The accompanying restaurant was reasonably priced with good food.

Coffee pot was filthy and I nearly cut myself when I tried to clean it because - the spout was broken off. They did replace it but the second one was also dirty. The worst was that someone’s used soap was still in the shower with what I will describe only as body hair. It’s a shame because the bathroom had been updated and none of that mattered because no one is taking care of it. The glass shower doors were streaked and tracks were grimy. Floor mats were stained and the towels were literally fraying.
I asked for a blanket because I could not bring myself to sleep in the bed after the room was so obviously not cleaned between guests. I did not eat in the restaurant for obvious reasons.

The town itself was not that great but we were traveling down the Alaska Highway & wanted to hike some trails in Kluane National Park so it was convenient. We ate at The Pub right across the street from the Parkside Inn. The burgers were great!

Haines Junction is at one of the important Yukon intersections and a very good starting point for one or the other scenic drives (two of them you automatically do, the third one would be an additional option). It definitely is worth to visit the Yukon Visitor Information Centre with very nice and knowledgeable staff, and it also hosts the Kluane National Park's main visitor centre.

Our February visit to Haines Junction meant that most of the businesses were closed for the season. The scenery however was spectacular! The Mile 1016 Pub was open and if you find your way there we would most definitely recommend the Nachos, the best we’ve ever had!

Haines Junction is a small town on the Alaska Highway, at the junction of important roads to the north and south. Some of the shops had closed for the season but we were able to obtain the supplies we needed and there are several places available for an evening meal. For us, the mountains are the highlight of this region. Every time we thought we had seen the best scenery, we would turn a curve in the road and would be dazzled by more mountains and lakes. It is a wonderful area for a road trip.

The scenery in this location, and in small communities which are easily reached from Haines Junction, make this a great place to visit and explore. The mountains are amazing and, on our visit, were covered with snow. Quite a treat for us.

Very familiar with H.J.
Very familiar with H.J. Plan ahead if you’re travelling September to May. We missed out on ice cream at Frosty’s and fresh baking at the Village Bakery, but we were prepared for the quiet shoulder season (Sep27-29). No snow on the ground, but the Mountains had a fresh dusting. Saw beautiful sunsets behind snow tipped mountains, amazing auroras dancing in the night sky and a couple of young moose along the highway. The air was crisp and clean. We did have some fun shopping and finding good end of season deals at Acacia Vintage. A much needed relaxing Yukon weekend.

I stayed in the cabin which was a basic standalone cabin with a double bed and that's about it! But the bed was comfortable and the room was warm, which was what I needed after a lot of cold nights camping round Yukon and Alaska!
The hostel is super friendly and has a well-equipped kitchen, dining room and upstairs a little living room. It's like staying with a good friend who has given you the run of their house for a few days.
Walking distance to everything in Haines Junction, including the lovely Dezadeash trail.
The hotel was old and dated but clean with free Wi-Fi. You check in at the restaurant then had dinner. If you are ordering the soup be prepared for a huge bowl. The staff was very friendly. The views of the mountains and glacier from the town were stunning. I hope to have the opportunity to go back.
This is one of my all time favorite places to stay. We stayed here on the way to alaska and on our way home and would stay there again if we find ourselves passing through that way. I loved the convenience of this place and it's classiness. Very clean, very comfortable, and very hospitable.
Clean comfortable rooms and pet friendly.. no matter what time you get in, your keys are ready and waiting for you with no problems we've been coming through here for the last 7 years twice a year.. always working to keep the facility in perfect condition. Regularly updated furnishings
Very simple, module based hotel.
In need of a bit of love and attention, but the key components (comfortable bed and pillows, clean and hot water) were well amply met.
We liked the friendly staff, super easy check in after a long drive from Tok, clean room, pet friendly, easy parking, restaurant on site, beautiful area!
