Friendly front desk agent. Room is comfortable and clean. Forest behind but not sure if we can find trails to walk the dogs as it was already dark and bear was walking around but minutes of walk down the hill we found a path around the lake,

Very expensive , no medical rate, staff were not knowledgeable on my questions, ie possibly booking an extra night,, all she said was, “you booked through Booking.com, i dont know”

I like the Living room type and bedroom ..high ceiling...fresh view. I enjoyed it. I plan to stay there again.
There was only 2 restaurants that had good food. The Iron Clay Coffee House and The Log Cabin Tavern were the two restaurants with excellent food.
The other restaurants we went to were below par with their food preparation. No wonder some of the restaurants go out of business.
The Hungry Pug restaurant, 901 Westside, and Ho Jo’s food preparation and quality of food was below par. Not good at all.

This is a wonderful place to visit, especially in the summer but year round. Lots to do, the lake is grand, people friendly. Good variety of places to eat and drink.
As the hotel had no food outlet we got our breakfasts at Tim Hortons and enjoyed the little drive. Lots of hilly roads which could be exciting or terrifying but all paved and fairly clear visibility. Winter could be tricky driving off the main streets!
I would avoid booking late - and don't go if you book at last minute in the summer - don't settle for poor accommodations. Wait until there are lots of options. Consider a Bed and Breakfast if hotels not readily available. May cost more but likely more reliable and attractive.

I'm originally from Kenora, so I go to visit my family (and Lake of the Woods) as often as possible. This was a wonderful, restful, clean, right-in-the-middle of Keewatin/Kenora hotel. My whole family was happy to stay here.

It is an awesome town.
It is an awesome town. Beautiful views of Lake of the Woods and an easy place to walk everywhere from the hotel. They have a great walking/cycling path right across the hotel. Excellent town for water activities and a great fishing spot. You can also spot wildlife right in town. Some nice shops are worth visiting and a few good restaurants like The Boathouse and Lake Of The Woods Brewery which has it's own beers brewed on the spot and a nice restaurant on site too.

Because of this hotel and staff, Kenora has left a bad impression with me. I have nicknamed it the BLACKHOLE! I share this information with everyone I know. Message is: STAY AWAY from this blackhole of a place!
For the price.. simple rooms. They give you one key and you need to carry with you and you lock outside.. and while this system exist other places there is nobody in the hotel ..from 9 pm to 11AM!! So went to start my car in morning stay lock outside at -20 !! Others customers help us. There was no number to reach anyone we were 4 rooms who tried to reach this guys ..
Stone House was a pleasant surprise. From booking through to my departure the service was excellent. The accommodations far better than any hotel I’ve stayed at in Kenora and location has a beautiful view of the lake. Everything you could want is within a short walk of stone house. I’m booking three more stays with them.
The tall ceilings, and nice room divider unit. and the view from the second floor of the water
Close to the water when we went for a walk and a small beach area for summertime where we saw the deer eating grass on private properties
The location to downtown Kenora and establishments was very convenient. Room was very clean and comfortable. It would be a great location for multiple day stay. Nicole was very helpful recommending restaurants
and attraction.
Hotel location was good for getting around. Front reception person was very pleasant and helpful. The "pen procedure" for registering was very thoughtful. Had a ground floor room that made it easy to load/unload car.
Finding a hotel in this area was tough. Parking was spacious, even with a trailer. I messed up the reservation, but they had the space and the allowed us to switch rooms with no question. Good choices for breakfast
A burst creek flooding the parking lot greeted us. The room smelled like a million cigarettes, the bed was nasty, the room was old and run down and all for a whopping $198/night. The worse hotel I've stayed in.
Property was extremely clean and modern. Rooms recently renovated and were extremely comfortable. Parking looked safe and secure. Staff were great. Will stay here again for sure next time we pass through Kenora
The hotel was situated across from the water and close to Husky the Muskie. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The lady we dealt with was very sympathetic and apologetic. Made this ordeal manageable.
I appreciated all the amenities in the room- microwave, fridge, kettle, and French coffee press. I've been in more expensive hotel rooms that haven't had this many amenities offered.
The staff is nice and friendly, the beds are comfortable and a walk through the town after a long drive is a great way to wind down. Kenora seems like an enchanting place.
Location was great, bed comfy, suite clean! Restaurants and stores walking distance! Outdoor pool area clean and inviting, with chairs for relaxing and suntanning!
The room was clean. The bedding was snow white! It was quiet. Saw only front desk staff but they were pleasant and helpful. We found it pricy for the type of hotel.
