It's under construction and being renamed. So here it's listed as Newmarket Hotel, but when you arrive its actually named Fairmont.
The front desk staff was very friendly.
The room was clean and nice, beds comfortable. But there was no coffee cups, just the flimsy plastic cups that you can't put hot liquid in.
I didn't eat free breakfast, but took a look to see what was there. It was pretty basic..although no bacon, just sausage, beans and scrambled eggs for hot food and then typical kind of over ripe bananas, apples, yogurt and muffins and toast.
Overall it was a nice hotel and I could see that once the construction is done and fully converted over to the new name it will be a nice hotel. Right now it's just missing the little extra details, like the coffee cups, milk in rooms...and of course bacon!! 😁
The BEST WESTERN Voyageur Place Hotel is located in Newmarket, across the street from Upper Canada Mall. Free WiFi is available throughout this non-smoking hotel.

Less than a one hour drive to Pearson Airport so was a perfect location to stay overnight - didn't have to deal with the higher hotel costs in Toronto and the highway is an easy route directly to the airport.

Getting around was easy compared to Waterloo.
Getting around was easy compared to Waterloo. The streets have large name signs and they are well ahead of any turns or intersections. We only traveled back and forth from the house our daughter rented to the hotel as we were there to move her.

BW is right across from Upper Canada Mall you can walk or drive across. All amenities stones throw.
Very convenient as my husband had a medical procedure at the hospital in newmarket so this location was close for his preparation the night before.
Comfortable, clean, beds were comfortable. I'm picky about pillows surprisingly they were super comfortable. Wifi was excellent as I worked from the room. Satisfied for what we needed.
Front desk was very helpful and friendly.

Nice getaway from the city and not too far.
Nice getaway from the city and not too far. Friendly locals but did seem busy with lots of cars especially during Covid. Loved the nature walks which are not far from the city. Quite a few restaurants for such a small city.
The location was perfect - we came to see family in Bond Head, and it was super easy and convenient to get to from the hotel. Not 5 mins down the road and you have a plethora of shops and restaurants, for anything you might need. The room had a microwave and a little fridge too so we didn’t have to eat out for every meal.
Check in was easy as we could arrive any time after 6pm and enter the home with clear instructions to the basement. Spacious living area and kitchen included. Clean and tidy. Location was good for us as it was a few minutes away from a wedding we were attending. Good place for a one night stay if you're a deep sleeper.
Check-in was easy and the desk staff were friendly and helpful. The main lobby was bright and clean with signs of ongoing renovation. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast area was spacious and had everything expected for a simple self-service buffet.
The machine coffee in the lobby was fresh and good. The front desk was helpful and efficient (especially given a payment issue I was having). The hotel is conveniently located off the highway. The room was as described and not too expensive.
The sliding door access to outside was convenient in order to bring in items from the car, good hot breakfast, very quiet hotel at night . Even tho I wasn't traveling with pets it's nice to know this hotel is pet friendly.
The King bed suite was really comfortable and spacious.
The breakfast was simple, but had enough variety for three nights.
There's a pool in the hotel that was not mentioned in the hotel description at the time.
This is a clean, no frills hotel that offers affordable rates. They always provide a small bagged breakfast which, although it's not fancy, is enough to get you up and started each morning.
The property is placed back on a quiet crescent. We found Newmarket to be a busy area with Go trains we loved the location as we heard nothing yet were close to everything!
it was over priced for what you get. the place was though clean and faculties were good, and would visit again if the price reduced to be in line with the other hotels
No breakfast offered. More than what we usually pay for this caliber of hotel. I figure the rates are up due to the summer but we haven't seen that before this year.
