Definitely Regina was adequate for our hockey tournament.
Definitely Regina was adequate for our hockey tournament. We found it easy to get around with plenty of places to dine and shop if you wanted. The central sports facilities are super - something to wish your city had. The only problem - ice plant seemed undersized and did not freeze floods.

Regina like most large cities has its highs and lows.
Regina like most large cities has its highs and lows. Some lovely areas some quite run down. Our family took in the Regina Science Centre. Can't say enough about how much we all enjoyed it. Especially the IMAX documentary. The facility was clean, fun for the entire family and lots of space to roam without feeling overwhelmed by other people. The IMAX film we choose was Wings Over Water. Gorgeous cinematography that the kids truly enjoyed and even my son, daughter and I learned about the wetland birds of the prairies. A great day was had by all. We stayed approx. 3.5 hours.

There's a lot of worthy places to visit in Regina, 3days is not enough. If you're planning to go to Regina, you must visit the Saskatchewan Parliament Building, they have a free tour every 30minutes from 9am to 3pm. And try to meet Scotty, the world's largest T-Rex in Royal Saskatchewan Museum, admission is free, if you're generous they're accepting donations starting at 5cad.

Lots to see and do: R.C.M.P.
Lots to see and do: R.C.M.P. Museum, Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame, Museum of Natural History etc. It is easy to get around due to the city's small size, good signage as well as good lighting. I prefer Wascana Park where there are lots of birds and beautiful trees. It is a great place to have a picnic and enjoy the sunset which is beautiful!

Easy to navigate once you have studied the map.
Easy to navigate once you have studied the map. Better keep an eye on the signs. We wound up on Albert st, and we were wanting to stay on the Ring Road. It wound up being ok as I do know how to navigate my way around using a map. GPS is ok, but I prefer a paper map. Can look ahead to where we wanted to go and how to get there a lot better .
It is a clean city. We didn't do much driving around. Came in from Hwy 2 heading for #1 East.
While travelling to Edmonton from Toronto - my son and I stayed at this nice little hotel conveniently located in the heart of Regina right near a lot of cool restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful and our room was big, bright and very clean. Breakfast was included and there was a lot to choose from.
We had a double room with two big beds and the bathroom with bathtub was quite large too. It was very quiet, which is much appreciated and there's free parking on site, which is great too!
The beds and pillows were awesome, very comfy. Loved the shower heads. The room was clean as expected. Lots of grass for the little dog around the Travelodge. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall the stay was good, the location was excellent, everything was about 10 minutes or less away...like shopping, food, downtown..the restaurant is attached to the hotel which was very nice, the food was pretty good. BUT...
Friendly staff and the room was comfortable. It was nice to have air-conditioning! Parking and internet were free which was nice. There are a few decent restaurants in the area, as well as a Shoppers Drug Mart practically across the street so the location is very convenient for those who want a good place to use as a jumping off point to visit the rest of the city. It only took us about 10min to drive downtown.
Nice quiet affluent part of Regina. Near shopping stores and legislative buildings. Safe to park your car outside. Unlike a previous stay at Regina where we choose a Trans Canada highway hotel location. Had one of our rear tires punctured. Had to drive on a flat tire across the highway to Kal Tire to replace same. Delayed our ongoing trip to Ottawa by 4 hours.
We were going for value with this stay and the Econolodge met our expectations. It is situated in an area with other hotels, restaurants, shopping and a theater nearby on the east end of the city. While the building is sort of strangely situated in the middle of a larger parking area with lots of large trucks parked around it, it met our needs for our stay.
The breakfast was very good. I chose the hotel because it is on the eastern edge of Regina and we were travelling east the next morning. We were on the highway heading home minutes after leaving the parking lot.
The room was the largest one we stay in during our travels to Victoria. There is a full size refrigerator and a stove top.
The hotel is exceptional. This is the second time I have stayed in a single, with King bed, full kitchen, etc. and it was wonderful. The room feels like "home" and I can't believe I am saying that, because it is so unusual to write those words. I have strongly recommended the Renaissance Inn in Regina to my colleagues.
the lady at the check in desk was very polite, informative and efficient.
we had a problem with the TV (recommend that hotels provide instructions on how to operate TVs as they are all different) and housekeeping came immediately to fix it and offered to provide a different room if it could not be resolved
it was
The fact it was downtown made it easy to walk around and explore the city on foot. Not that I would recommend you do so as it was extremely quiet on a Saturday night. The underground parking was included which is a bonus.
Nice Marriott experience. Newly updated carpet and decor. Nice showers and bathroom. Conveniently located near core of Regina close to lots of stores, restaurants, and about 5km from airport.
Location is perfect in the center of the city in downtown. All services are available in the locality and near to bus station. Everything that you need is available inside the apartment.
Pet friendly
Very clean
Room 105 had sink, microwave and small fridge, 2 TVs
Ideal location close to retail east end of Regina just off TransCanada/ ring road
