Everything started off great, we were told they would automatically make beds and straighten up the room. We were not too concerned about the replacement of towels but not removing the trash was our main concern.

Nice, quaint little town, I bought some dinner, went to a store or two. Had visited two parks on Lake Erie (Turkey Point and Long Point) and needed a hotel relatively close by. Will visit again, nice town.

The downtown section really deteriated but enjoyed, Winners and Walmart. Stayed at the malls as there was nothing that attracted us to the downtown. Went to the Red Barrel for supper and it was nice. The food wasn't as good as what we remembered. Loved the location of the hotel as it was close to where we wanted to go.

    A beautiful place to visit.

A beautiful place to visit. We were only able to stay one night, spent one day in Port Dover Beach and the next day went to visit Apple Hill Lavender Farm. Unfortunately we were there past the season of lavender and were unable to see it in all it's glory, but we had a lovely chat with the owner and enjoyed the serenity of the place. The shop was open and the ladies were lovely. Port Dover is a quaint little place to visit with one of a kind shops and a beautiful sandy beach. We were able to learn about the history of Port Dover at the Port Dover Harbour Museum as well. If you enjoy history, you'll enjoy exploring the past in this well laid out and informative museum. If you want to cool down on a hot summer day try "The Ice Cream" tank. Their portions are generous and rich with flavour.

This was an ok Motel. Nothing fancy.

This was an ok Motel. Nothing fancy. No elevator in the building. Only two floors. Rooms are adequate. I had a hard time sleeping as there was quite a bit of light coming into our room through the window. Although I was able to fully close the curtains there was still a lit of light that came in at the top of the window. It was annoying. It was a basic room with microwave and fridge. The beds were not really comfortable, but I was not expecting them to be. My husband and I stayed only one night which was ok.

We liked the local restaurants especially the use of local , seasonal products for the meal preparations. The trails in the area are limitless for all seasons. Provincial parks, conservation areas, historic homes, wineries, craft breweries and scenic drives put all the rat race out of sight and out of mind.

Everything else! Friendly hosts. Wonderful breakfast. Pancakes were so good. And so was the quiche. Beautiful setting in a beautuful old house, felt like we stepped back in time as the furniture matched the age of the house. Lovely patio area in the back yard. And cherry on top was the fireflies twinkling all around us, which was a total surprise. Very much enjoyed our stay.

I liked the location. Close to Lake Erie as well as town. Many food options within a 5 min drive. Check in was very fast and straightforward. Room and bathroom was clean. Enjoyed the view of nature out the window. Came with all basic amenities including microwave and small fridge. Free wifi is definitely a bonus and was fast enough to stream videos. Beds were quite comfy.

Breakfast was excellent value - I appreciated that there was real cooked food (ie, eggs, sausage, waffles) rather than just cold cereals. Breakfast dining area was overcrowded, but I suspect that is because hotel was booked solid with people there to view the eclipse, and wouldn't be a regular occurrence. We were able to take food to our room and eat there.

Egg on a sloppy untoasted muffin with 3 tiny rashes of barely cooked bacon.Bran muffin was good.Bagged to go,resteraunts are open, don't understand why theirs was closed. If I stay in a hotel with a brew pub I expect to be able to have a beer.Time to get off the covid bandwagon, half the benefits of usual but not reflected in the price.

Roger and Joyce were very friendly and have a wonderful, clean home with gorgeous decor and art. The hosts were attentive but not intrusive hosts. Breakfast was so delicious and beautifully prepared and served! We were given excellent recommendations for restaurants and sites to see in the area. We would definitely stay here again.

No breakfast provided by hotel but tried to get breakfast at restaurant attached to hotel. So very busy, we had no time to wait. But, by seeing how popular it was, we surmise it is worth the wait. Maybe next time.
