Was sad that the restaurant was under renovations and breakfast was not available but the coffee was good. Bus stop right in front of the hotel is a big bonus.
This hotel offers suites with full kitchen facilities and fireplaces. The Sandman Suites Surrey is about a half-hour’s drive along the Trans Canada Highway from central Vancouver.

I was able to get an early check in which really helped out as I needed a place to work from for the day. The person that took my call the night before asking about early check in followed up the next day when they started which was great customer service!

Good breakfast. Good selection of breakfast items.
the apartment was very comfortable. It was worth the money for us to stay here. My only suggestion to the renters of the property is that the bed needs to be upgraded. It was comfortable enough but for big people, like me, comfort is everything when I sleep. Other than that, It was great!!

The area didn't seem very safe.
The area didn't seem very safe. Everything seemed far but on further exploration, it isn't -- convenience-wise I would recommend Surrey if you're going to be in and around the area much. Safety-wise, I wouldn't say it's totally unsafe, I'd only recommend one to be careful initially, assess for your own self, and decide if staying out after sundown is a good idea or not.

Surrey is my hometown. I am a Canadian citizen. It just so happened I needed a place to stay at the time and I got robbed by these people who rented me the place for 45 days. 8925 151 street Surrey BC. They took the money the day I moved in and promised to refund the damage deposit as soon as I vacated the place ($1400 CDN ). But that never happened to this day(12th of July 2023)

White Rock is a must not busy suburban Surrey.
White Rock is a must not busy suburban Surrey.
Eat at Crescent beach or "Morrisons" in Ocean Park to escape the main beach crowds.
The soccer fields are amazing there.
Lovely art and gift shop in White Rock centre.

The thing is , that owner or manager, she doesn’t have manners. As we booked the hotel via booking .com but at she said there was no booking and the rate she told us was way to high . And she is not accepting intrac or cards only cash . And when we asked for refund she said no refunds and cut the phone

It was affordable for where I waned to go.
It was affordable for where I waned to go. Easy to get to Vancouver and other destination most times. Wonderful accommodation that I would like to book in the future instead of nearer to Vancouver where it is very expensive. If you didn't have a car it might not be so good, There was parking on the street and I never had a problem with that, Closer parking in the driveway for electric cars to charge. Must admit I didn't spend a lot of time in Surrey but I was able to find all the places I wanted. Chong Qing restaurant and Krispy Kreme doughnuts for example. Lots of other malls for shopping also. I was mostly visiting friends in the area.
it’s our third time booking and each time we enjoy new room character we book
so far my family were extreme comfortable
They have a very caring staff I can say and very clean and organized
it’s better to stay in local area till going expensive hotels paying 300 per day for same services
we really appreciate The Empress Palace management specially the Empress assistant
we know we must pay on line as they do not view credit card info till you call them right after sending request and E transfer
Thanks again
We were on our way from Victoria in other luxury branch of similar hotel Empress Palace and decided to give this one a try
Whole of my family including me 6 of us needed a quiet place to rest for few hours with enough beds.
We booked two Ensuites and both were pleasent
Price was ranged between 150 to 170 for our ensuite including tax and service fee that was okey comparing downturn room for 250 dollar above.
We will come back soon
it was better than previous stays at other hotels for us
we wanted to feel home type of feeling . opening the windows and breath the fresh air that us not possible in hotel rooms. location is in heart of Surrey about 28 minutes to our airline we arrived . taxi driver hit GPS and we found ourselves in a luxury big mansion type as it’s called Empress Hotel .
it was very nice and one of kind hotel but small size and lovely
Breakfast was good, location was good. hotel was clean and despite being busy, it was a quiet room.
I like that there was an amazing swimming pool across the parking lot for the kids. It was lots of fun in the evening and nice and close to the hotel.
We didn't use the pub or Tim Horton's but it would be a good thing to have close by if it was needed (also in the parking lot)
I had a great sleep at this property
It is located at heart of Surrey and very convenient to take taxi from airport or go by buss all around
They had comfortable bed and self service you can make coffee , tea and warm up your goods fridge and living room ..
Price was affordable
Mananger was super confident and polite with charming smile
I will book it again
I liked the reasonable price, quick text responses and instructions, direct bus service from the sky train, safe feeling neighbourhood in north Surrey, clear entry code, clean very well decorated house, comfortable quiet room with room key on the desk, attached bath and nearby shared kitchen.
Be Sure to find the right number of the building that is 12788. The building has three gates. The one that black Mercedes car is parked is usually the door that we try to call the number whenever we book this hotel is perfect for us and thank you.

I like everything, so me and my family stayed in this
hotel for four nights. it was amazing, the room is clean
and big enough for 4 people, breakfast is included n
they have good variety.
the staff is very exceptional and helpful.
Pet friendly room change at the last minute was super accommodating. Continental breakfast was good. Staff were very friendly. This is my family's & most of ball teams choice of hotel when playing at Softball City in Surrey.
After days of hotel buffet breakfasts, it was wonderful to be able to order "a la carte" and have it served fresh at our table. Heated floors are appreciated during cool weather - I always enjoy having 'toasty' feet.
We booked this, Hotel for our sek es and we have a lovely anniversary in our romantic suite
Thank you for quiet time and clean room
Spacious walking closet was great for my surprise gift to my dear beloved partner.
I like the hotel. Entries are more like appetizers, and over priced. We spent $100 and left hungry. I paid for the hotel, then got charged $15 for parking. We thought that was gouging. Don't think we will be back
Great stay, clean, comfortable, quiet. Semi-basement actually has natural light and privacy. Full kitchen. It's on par with hotel suites, but bigger, it's a full apartment.
