Breakfast was good. Nice to have a hot breakfast option
We had a nice visit! Although the parking is a little weird at the hotel, but we were fine. Also since our visit was during Summer, the AC was not enough for the whole place. However, we were gone most of the day, so we survived! We will definitely come back at Sleeping giant BNB for accommodation. Kalabeka Falls and Fort William Historical Park are a few of our favorites! Also the Thunder Bay Lookout at Sleeping Giant Natl Park. :) Mount McKay is also a nice place yo visit! :)

Thunder Bay is close to Sleeping Giant Provincial Park—about...
Thunder Bay is close to Sleeping Giant Provincial Park—about an hour’s drive—which is a phenomenal place for hiking at all levels. It’s an easy trip back and forth, and the primary reason I visited Thunder Bay (there are no hotels near the park). I didn’t explore the city-proper very much. It’s easy to drive around. Also seems to have a robust bus system that no one uses! There’s a downtown area with many restaurants and bars, but it wasn’t very busy, even on a weekend night. Best place I ate was a Thai restaurant, Thai Kitchen (11 Cumberland Street), which was excellent.

There aren’t enough hotels and the ones they have that are good book up quickly. The ones left aren’t worth staying in, but it’s too late to get to another town once you realize it. Plan ahead and book early is my advice.

My reason for staying there was STRICTLY medical, not pleasure. I travelled over two thousand miles to get the medical help I needed, because of the FAILURE of the CORPORATE medical mafia (YES, the medical system is the upgraded mafia system) establishment wants to TREAT people but NEVER CURE people as there is no money in "curing" people. They are the LEGAL DRUG DEALERS WITH LICENSE, WITH HORRIFIC SIDE EFFECTS OF THEIR DRUGS. I KNOW, I AM ONE OF THE VICTIMS OF THEIR GREED. For the medical reason, hot tub was a crucial part of my trip and you ALSO failed to tell me that the hot tub was there for the show not for the go. For the proper health benefit, hot tub AND swimming pool go hand in hand! THIS IS FUNDAMENTAL HEALTH CARE!

We went for a family wedding, but should have went earlier to see the sights. We stayed at the Harbour Front and it was gorgeous. Beautiful weather, Lake Superior ! But like every where else, short staffed. Stayed at Delta Marriot, brand new hotel, but restaurant closed for breakfast as no staff. No bar. No snack counter. Starbucks closed at 11am on Saturday and Sunday !!!!! the young people working there were very helpful.

The review of the travel lodge.....
The review of the travel lodge.....The breakfast which was included did not even have a place to sit. The pancake maker was out of order also the personnel was dirty on their clothing this is anadd on to what my wife wrote. I would never recommend that travel lodge to anyone. Gilles Morais
We have stayed at this hotel a number of times on our way through Thunder Bay. It has never disappointed. The last couple of times we have booked a king suite and have found it to be very spacious and comfortable. When we stay here we order a takeout dinner from The Five Forks restaurant next door which is so handy and has many delicious options. There is a lot of choice for the breakfast at the hotel and the friendly, helpful person who works in the breakfast area keeps it spotless!
I had one of the units with a twin bed and it was a perfect, affordable little set up for my short trip! I was out and about most of the time I was in Thunder Bay, so I didn't spend a lot of time in my unit besides sleeping and showering, and it was just what I needed for my stay! The mattress and bedding were both so comfy! Made it super easy to fall asleep! Definitely going to recommend Sleeping Giant BNB to anyone I know who is traveling up to Thunder Bay!
Self check in was super efficient. The host was very easy to communicate with and helpful. Room was basic while being very clean, quiet, and comfortable. For a short business trip to Thunder Bay, it worked out well but has limited storage or work area for a longer stay. Close to a good selection of restaurants and waterfront is very pretty.
Overall, it was a great experience and definitely recommend.
welcoming open concept with great artwork and clean. I absolutely loved my time there. even a kettle for my coffee in the morning on the counter in the kitchen. first time I have ever stayed at a hostel, it opened my eyes, mind and maybe just a little piece of my heart. thank you so much to all of the volunteers, staff and Holly for making my time in Thunder Bay exactly what I needed.
Hotel feels brand new, and definitely has some features you find in larger, 4-star hotels. The lobby and breakfast area are good examples. You almost forget that you’re in Thunder Bay. In fact, the area surrounding the hotel isn’t all that nice, so it feels like an oasis of sorts.
The only good thing about this hotel was the staff, when I went back up to the front desk she was understanding and helpful when I let her know that my room was awful and I couldn't stay there for the safety of myself and daughter. She immediately refunded me and apologized.
The hotel is situated on the waterfront which is in the process of being upgraded / redeveloped. The Hotel itself is very new and needs a little time to establish itself and it's facilities. There was no valet parking but there is an under-building garage available.
Location convenient. There was nice area nearby for a walk in the park by waterfront with memorials to navy veterans and merchant navy. Interesting marina area nearby. Pleasant walk after long day of travel.
Reasonable room rate. Clean tidy room. Good value.
We were tired after a long day of driving and weren’t keen on going out for dinner. We ate at the hotels restaurant. Our waiter was friendly and helpful and the food was excellent! Other diners had only good things to say when recommended dishes!
Everything was enjoyable. The rooms are very spacious. Breakfast was very good both days we were there, it is nice e and close to the waterfront and casino. If I'm ever back in the area I would definitely stay there again.
This hotel was recently renovated, unlike other average Canadian hotels this has great interior design, very nice and clean bathrooms, the whole building is stylish and clean.
The only nice thing I can say is that the staff were pleasant. The hotel should be closed. I’ve never stayed in a worse place and I always try to stay in cheaper locations.
