The breakfast was delicious - and very filling. The extra nice touch was that it was served on silver platters, etc. The whole place had a welcoming atmosphere- a very beautifully renovated older home. The hosts were very gracious.

Booking.com had us on the second floor. I could not see that indication when I booked, on the site, but the owner was super great and gave us a main floor room. That is top notch in our books. The room was slightly dated, but who cares? It was clean, the bed was comfortable, but there is almost always a slight 'motel' smell in these older motels. We have been on the road for 4 weeks now. Motel/hotel every night, so I know what I'm talking about, lol.

We flew from Calgary to Halifax then drove to Truro for one night before departing early the next morning for our destination in New Brunswick. Truro was a convenient overnight stop. We did not spend time much time in Truro.

This accommodation has so many heavy locked doors!

I didn't feel like being in a motel, I felt like being in a clean dungeon without a fridge or a kitchen to have some hot water or warm up a food....
I don't recommend it to anyone!

Swiss Chalet is the best in the Province
Not to easy to get around Truro. You need a GPS
The Glooscap Trail is great ,very scenic. Truro a great central location to go to other places of interest.
Ruth is a great host, very welcoming, very knowledgeable about the local area and Canada in general. The breakfast was super. The garden is nice. Even though it is a shared accommodation, there is a good deal of privacy, as the bathroom and bedroom are behind a door. The night we stayed, the other room had no guests, btw. Ruth has a friendly older dog, so if you like furry friends that could be a bonus.
The location is nice -- in a residential area but very close to Truro and the Tidal Discovery Site. Truro is a small city.

Host is very knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions for outings. She is also friendly and obviously enjoys what she does. The breakfast is amazing. The room is clean, beautiful and comfortable. A wonderful stay and when we next return to the Truro area, Suncatcher will be our first call for accommodations.
The check in staff person was very helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel was conveniently located for our travel itinerary in that it was not far from the Prince Edward Island ferry.
We stayed at this motel after completing our trip around Cape Breton. It is conveniently located at Truro, a good stop between Cape Breton and PEI. It is easy to find, and the stay was great. The room is quite new and clean.
We enjoyed extremely comfortable beds, large, clean, spacious rooms, best breakfast we’ve ever had in a motel, and just the friendliest staff from the front desk, to the room cleaners. Overall, it was such a wonderful stay.
This is truly a home away from the home. We wish we could stay longer! The hosts cooked fresh breakfast for us in a formal dining room using fine china sets. It was the best breakfast we have ever had, coming with lodging.
the staff was super helpful, the bed were comfy and the room was clean! we have enjoyed this second time at the inn and if we pass by Truro we will for aure book there again.
The location is good for access to the trans Canada Highway and to central Truro. Room and bed were on the small side but comfortable. Breakfast was superb.
The owners take pride in their home and open it up to visitors. They use their main dining room for a wonderful breakfast served using their best dishes.
