The hotel has immense charm from its period design and decor. We loved it. It has a spectacular location on top of a cliff. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

We knew the place and various activities are offered: biking, walking, fishing, paddling, swimming, ... . There is a lovely alpine garden and we can visit an underground military fortification. Hiking to well-know refuges is possible (Orny, Trient). Don't miss Zaric's sculpture. There is a small one in the alpine garden. Panorama from Belvedere (easy walk) or Splendid hotel is beautiful. Apparently, there is a SPA in the new trendy / design hotel next to the lake. I believe non-resident can hire by hour (to be checked). Champex is not far to Gorges Durnand.

Champex Lac is a charming village that offers a wide range of outdoor activities, like skiing, hiking, kayaking on the lake, swimming, tennis. It is very suitable for family holidays in winter and summer. The environment is very beautiful. Impressives mountains, woods and small villages. Champex is not far from France and Italy, so day-trips to the French Alps and Aosta in Italy are a possible.

The apartment in the hotel was a little on the small size, so seemed expensive. But it is in a stunning position close to the lake, with wonderful walks nearby. The host was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. And it is dog friendly.

Wonderful apartment at Au Vieux Champex with views of the lake. Very clean and nicely appointed. Nice little town with a great bakery and good restaurants. We ate at Restaurant du Glacier which was excellent.
The panorama as expected was gorgeous. Having the breakfast on a sunny morning on the terrace was absolutely great. The dinner in the evening with excellent wine was a good surprise (excellent quality / price ratio). I also recommend the short hike to Belvedere viewpoint (easy walk from hotel with beautiful panorama on lake and surroundings). We also liked the charm of this old hotel (pictures, history, antiques, ...). The staff and the owners were very friendly and opened to discuss about the region, We will come back !
Great hotel right on the lake! We stayed as a stop on the TMB and this was a wonderful place to rest and reset after lots of hiking. We literally walked across the street to jump in the lake. Both of our rooms had massive balconies that looked out at the water. The shower/sink in our bathroom had some issues, but the staff was friendly when things came up. Overall a very charming hotel with lovely people running it! Champex Lac is adorable!
Lovely family run hotel, in the perfect location the explore Champex-Lac! We got train/bus from Geneva Airport (which was very easy!) to spend the weekend skiing. The breakfast spread was great, everything you could want. The Richer-Lonfat Familywere extremely helpful, both before our trip via email and once we arrived! Well worth the room with a view too! Would definitely recommend.
Before we even arrived, Charles was communicative and helpful, offering to stay late to accommodate a later check in for us if our hike was delayed. Everyone was polite and eager to make our stay wonderful, the food was fantastic, and the view from our room was to die for. I've stayed in hotels in a dozen countries, and this is one of the best.
It was a pleasant experience but compared to other locations this property gets a rating of 8.5. There is a beautiful fireplace in the house but I didn't have any wood. The grill looks pretty bad. For 4 days 5 people left us only 2 dishwashing pills. Comfortable mattress but very noisy beds
Don’t often review but Hotel Belvedere was one of my favourite stays ever. Was on the Tour de Mont Blanc. Old world and owners are lovely. Still remember the breakfast and the special view. Bonus is that it is built on top of a Swiss Fortress built into the mountain! (You cam even tour it!)
Large spacious apartment with underfloor heating, two bedrooms and two toilets plus a kitchen. The kitchen has all the necessary utensils for cooking. After half of the tour du mont blanc, this hotel was truly paradise. Additionally worth mentioning a giant terrace.
First of all the owners are a lovely couple and as kind as it gets. The location is exceptional. Sitting on the terrace, whether it’s upstairs from your room, or downstairs from the bar, and watching a tranquil day that is life in Champex go by is unforgettable.
The view from the balcony, the kitchen so we could cook some of our own food, the spaciousness of the room and the comfortable bed. Check-in was easy and we were able to check-in early, we enjoyed a great night at the hotel.
Our comfortable apartment was clean, quiet, and had what we needed for a pleasant short stay in Champex-Lac. The location is very convenient, close to the lake, restaurants, and grocery store. The hostess was very friendly.
Lovely room with a view of the lake - didn’t need all the tech features, but our stay was very comfortable. I really appreciated the careful attention to dietary needs when we had a meal at the hotel restaurant.
Literally the most comfortable bed of my entire 4 week trip in the area! The only other hotels I stayed in I preferred my tent and sleep system to their beds, but not here! It was so comfortable and so quiet
We had a decent one-night stay in Champex-Lac during TMB. The staff was friendly, we requested to check-in a little later and that wasn't an issue. The room and bathroom are spacious. The breakfast was ok.
Fantastic views of the mountains and a short walk to the perfect Champex Lake and close to the Alpine Garden. Large comfortable rooms with balconies. Helpful friendly staff. Relaxed bar and breakfast.
EVERYTHING. From the kitchen to the mini grill, everything I could have wanted was taken care of! My favorite was definitely the stove/fireplace which kept me really warm and toasty
