The hotel is doing renovations on the top floor where we had our room. Thus we had a brand new and large room while avoiding the renovation noise because we were there in the weekend. It is conveniently located at the edge of the old town and within 10’ from the train station. Breakfast was good.

The cleanliness was spotless…the place was super clean, even the shared toilet and bath. Thank you very much. I had a problem couldn’t arrive early for check in but everything was sorted by the hotel.

The fact that we can park the car in front of the room. Just ask for it.
They kindly found the teddy bear my daughter forgot in the room and sent me by post. It was very appreciated.

Fantastic village to take Bernina Express.
Fantastic village to take Bernina Express. However, if yo wish to take Bernina, then dont rent a car rather buy Swiss rail passes which seem expensive but then all transport is free and you get 50% off on Bernina express, Glacier express, and all private rides like Titlis Air and others. So this is well worth a spend.

Chur is a beautiful place to do short trip in Switzerland . Very safe place to walk even at night time. The alleyways are great piece of architecture and lots of choices for small boutiques and restaurants in Affordable price. You won't get lost in Chur as it is only straight line to the main train station. Frankishner Hotel offered an amazing dish and cheese fondue at reasonable price, very professional staff and great atmosphere inside the restaurant

We only stayed 1 night in Chur and were thus unable to fully explore the town itself and the surrounding area. There is a good range of shops, historic buildings and churches (especially the cathedral) which are worth visiting. It's not a large town but there are several attractive squares to wander around and, like most places in Switzerland, extremely clean and tidy. We ate at a very good restaurant/bar called Calanda - great service/atmosphere/food and drink choices.

The cable car was fantastic, would have stayed another day just to take full advantage of this… However it’s very expensive in Chur… eating out was prohibitive for us due to how much it would have cost, we could stay in a good apartment in Bolzano Italy for one night for the same cost as a meal for two.. even buying food from the supermarket is expensive… btw Bolzano is a fantastic place to visit ..

We loved Chur. Beautiful , historic old town in the centre.
We loved Chur. Beautiful , historic old town in the centre. It seemed like a town where regular working folk lived rather than being very touristy although there were tourists. Interesting Viamal Gorge and walk accessibly easily by train and bus . As it was raining we didn’t go on the walk just the short walkway by the cafe .
This is a very nice modern hotel with a great view. The location is a bit away from old Town but with the bus stop right in front of the hotel (and the visitor card provided by the hotel that gives you free public transport), it was a breeze to get around.
There is also a grocery store, a cinema, shopping and restaurants in the same building (or attached buildings).
The staff was wonderful - friendly and very helpful.
This was our last accommodation in Switzerland and it felt like a treat and a sweet way to end our trip.
Chur is a very small place in Switzerland and the reason why we wanted to stay here was the next day we wanted to take the Glacier Express Train and for that we wanted to go to St. Mortiz. Having being said that this place is a neat and tidy one covered by snow mountains from all sides and within reach of the Train Station in 7 mins of walk. I would suggest you to select this place as the host is a very kind person and helpful one. Thanks to host for making this a memorable one for us. Please consider this place.
Great location on the edge of the pedestrianised town centre and within a stone’s throw of the station, so perfect for those touring Switzerland by rail, like us, but seemingly with plenty of parking available for anyone with a car.
Comfortable bed and different pillow types are available if booked in advance with the hotel direct.
Excellent lighting (at least in Room 506 - a superior twin).
Quality breakfast with plenty of choice.
Helpful reception staff.
Really helpful staff and excellent location. Breakfast was decent. Considering I booked rather last-minute, the hotel was not bad value for money. The room was spacious and very clean, facing onto a main street (there was a little noise from the Hemingway Cafe next door, but very easy to put up with). Overall, I really enjoyed my time here and would certainly stay here again if in Chur.
Amazing find! Beautiful historic building in the old town. Dinner was delicious and made with local seasonal produce. Breakfast was good. The ambience of the hotel was lovely and the card given for discounts in local attractions was very useful. Easy to walk around Chur and sightsee. Beautiful cobbled streets and cathedral and museum were a delight.i definitely would go back.
Excellent customer service at the reception desk - friendly, helpful, and unrushed. Breakfast was excellent value for money. Rooms were spacious and well furnished. This is a charming family-run hotel in the old part of Chur, although a 15 minute walk from the main rail station.
The hotel was centrally located and close to everything. It was kept up and very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful and gave us suggestions of gluten free restaurants and attractions to see. There are mountains all around the city. The natural beauty is amazing!
The bottle of wine that was left for us after the mass confusion of zero communication for several hours after our arrival with no possible way to gain entrance & leave our luggage - lost a good portion of our one day only in Chur
The hostel was great, new and very clean. The staff were so helpful and knowledgeable about the area and had great recommendations for what to do in and around Chur. A very comfortable stay in a beautiful part of Switzerland.
The staff were excellent and helpful and gave us a corner room with mountains on both sides of our balcony The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The hotel is easy walking distance to the Chur Gondola and Old Town Chur.
We loved Hotel Chur; it was our favorite Hotel on our tour of Switzerland. The room was spacious and very comfortable. We opened our windows at night, and the sound of the creek rushing by was like white noise. Lovely!
For an affordable hotel this was excellent. Friendly staff, clean rooms and bathrooms, great breakfast. Switzerland is very expensive but this was great value for money.
The breakfast was very good. The hotel had a very cozy and charming dining area. The restaurant was always busy so the food is good! Comfortable bed and clean rooms.
