The staff were also very friendly and accommodating. Since we wanted to extend our stay and there was only the suite left we were provided a very nice upgrade from the front office manager Paul. This left us with an unique experience of the hotel and Lucerne. We also really liked the private terrace area in front of the lake. Big thumbs up from us. We were upgraded to a room that had balcony overseeing the lake!!! The room was big, well maintained, the hotel had all the facilities.. the mini library with the coffee machine was a really cute corner!!! Surrounding area was worth seeing .. u can just walk around to reach the lake and also trek around!! I would definitely recommend!! We also got a very warm and welcoming reception by the hotel staffs before and during check-in

Only awkward thing, the shower curtain blocks out the bathroom light so you have to shower with it open, and the bathroom window opens on to the road. The staff were polite and friendly and spoke good English. There was a good choice for breakfast and everything was fresh. The timings for breakfast were good ie spread over a few hours.

They put us in the newer building in a lake view room at no extra charge. It was quite a treat for us. I think they had plenty of rooms open that night. We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent.
