Service was terrible. Marion at the reception was very very rude. She should not be working in a Hotel. The rest of the staff was very friendly but Marions made our experience very bar. Several times she was rude when asked for a key of the room or asked to change money.

Location is perfect, just a quick 3 min walk from metro station. Breakfast was also nice, we got eveything we need.
Staff were so helpfull when asked for help, just you need to remind eveything. For example: to get our "free tourist Lausanne travel card" we needed to remind the lady to give us, also during the breakfast when water of the coffee machine or anything runs low or runs out, you have to be reminded to replenish it.

A Slice of Stunning Switzerland
Set on slopes by Lake Geneva, Lausanne is a laidback and liveable city. The views of the lake and dramatic peaks of the Alps are simply stunning, especially from Sauvabelin Tower in the northern woods.
Surrounded by vineyards, this is an outdoor lifestyle city great for sports including sailing, cycling and hiking. In fact, many international sporting governing bodies and the International Olympic Committee are based here. There is also an excellent Olympic Museum. In winter, Lausanne skiing options include the Jura Mountains to the north-west, and the Valais canton south-west of the lake.
By the lake (Lac Léman in French) is the Ouchy port area, home to many of the Lausanne hotels and restaurants. To the north is the Flon district, known for its lively nightlife popular with students.
The cobbled Old Town – the Cité – is a Swiss Heritage Site on a hill at the city’s highest point. It houses the castle and Lausanne Museum, both watched over by the multi-spired Notre-Dame cathedral. At the foot of the hill are 3 squares with markets, one of which – Place Riponne – is on the Metro.
This is the world’s smallest city with a Metro, an indicator of the wonderfully efficient Swiss transport system, meaning that Geneva Airport (the closest to Lausanne) is easily reachable.

We really enjoyed visiting the old town starting from the Cathedral, which although its undergoing restoration you can still go inside. The walk from the cobbled streets outside the Cathedral down to the train station is worth it, but you'll need comfy shoes to navigate the steep descent to Lausanne Station. The lakeside is a must see including the Olympic museum.

Try to avoid staying over on Sunday.
Try to avoid staying over on Sunday. All the shops are closed after 6 pm to 6.30 pm from Monday to Saturday and close on Sunday. So we feel wasted 1 day on Lausanne as it is Sunday. We only can walk around visit Churches and window shops on Sunday.

Lausanne is a fantastic city.
Lausanne is a fantastic city. The lake is simply stunning and if you are a tourist I think staying by the lake is possibly better than being in the city as it is so beautiful and changes all the time. The city has some nice upmarket shops and some lovely restaurants. There is a great metro service to get you up and down the hill and most hotels give you a free pass for this. There are lots of young people in Lausanne and all the restaurants and bars are very busy. We visited Montreux by train and Gruyeres by bus and Evian les Bains across the lake by boat.

I traveled to other places in France a Switzerland.
I traveled to other places in France a Switzerland. The train station is just 3 stops away from the hotel. The hotel is just above the metro station. When you arrive using the metro, you must take the elevator to floor E1. The hotel is just in front of the elevators to the left. Very well located! In Lausanne, we enjoyed the lake walk, the Olympic museum, the Place du Palau, the wood stairs. Just walking the city is relaxing. The cafes, the restaurants and shops are first class. We stayed 12 days and 11 nights. We wanted to stay longer. We love Switzerland ❤️

We used Lausanne as a base to explore around the East Lake, something it is well suited for due to the good rail service and the easy access to boats at Ouchy. We didn't explore all of Lausanne by any means but the area from the studio towards the castle and the walk down to Ouchy were very pleasant. Lausanne is very hilly so use of the metro (M2 for us) was almost essential.

Lausanne was a very nice place for my first time alone.
Lausanne was a very nice place for my first time alone. The architecture is amazing. I really liked hearing the bell it was quite nice; it felt like going back in time. The food there was amazing and everyone is very helpful. So definitely go there for a vacation.
The hotel is right on the main street so there is lots to do and see. The hotel is located above a restaurant, but I never noticed any noise from it. I was in room 23 on the third floor which is right above the street but when I close my windows, it was perfectly quiet. I got a nice breeze with the windows open at night because there is one on adjacent walls. Checking in was fine, but there was just the waitress in the cook when I got there, so they were quite busy but I understood. Check out is easy, just drop a key in the box and walk out.
The location is very good. quiet, peaceful place. Very attentive and helpful staff at the reception.
Close to metro station (10 min walk).
Close to the chic beach of Lake Geneva (15 min walk). The guests of the hotel are cultured intelligent people. Room with a very stylish modern design, cleaned every day very well. The advantage is the availability of a shuttle, which can be ordered free of charge in the morning and evening on weekdays for delivery to anywhere in Lausanne.
Our Amazing Room - On arrival the Hotel was full and we were lucky enough to be upgraded to The Coco Chanel Suite which was amazing, we were speechless as the verandah, room and view were the best we have ever stayed in on our travels around the world. We were so greatful it has been the highlight of our trip. "Thankyou Lausanne Palace".
Our room we had originally booked also looked amazing!
The staff were all lovely, especially reception! Anything we needed from the restaurant they were also quick and kind. Very pretty hotel, great location. The hotel also provided free transport tickets, which we only used a few times because Lausanne is easily walkable. We stayed in a family room. It was perfect for a family of 4 and was quiet.
Nice, cozy hotel. Comfortable room with all necessary things ( including electric cattle, ironing desk and iron, mini refrigerator etc). Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff, Switzerland style interior. Nice view at breakfast restaurant. Great location : 15 mins walking to the lake, 5 mins to SBBstation , 5 mins to metro .
Very great location and the hotel is nicely decorated. The staff is great! They have a superbe rooftop to have drinks at night. We were happy to be able to park our car 5m away and the hotel offers a 50% discount. It was only 15€ for 24h (with the discount) so very affordable and cheaper than parking in Paris where we are from.
One of the last „real“ hotels in the city with large hotelrooms, nice design, friendly staff at the reception, an amazing breakfast buffet. Great location right nect to the metro so one can reach any area of lausanne esily and many great restaurants, bars, shops in walking distance.
I stayed here already a few times because of a school course - it was consistently clean and tidy, the staff is really nice and helpful. Good location (the metro station is just at the hotel) close to the different schools and universities and not too far from downtown Lausanne.
Very nice hotel with free private parking. It is very close to a metro station and the central rail station, but in a quiet neighbourhood. The staff is very polite. Excellent value for money for Lausanne. We were kindly upgraded to a nice decorated room overlooking the lake.
The breakfast was amazing! Realize that you are staying at a hospital hotel. It was super cool to see the new parents having meals with their babies and families. Our room was very nice, the bathroom was great, and the beds were comfortable.
Good breakfasts. Nice staff. Location perfect. Opposite to railway station, good connections with Geneva airport. Very close to metro station. The price for the hotel includes also the ticket for metro/bus/train through Lausanne.
The decor of the hotel is really fun. It is close to Lausanne Flon and the m1 and m2 metro lines. The rooms although a little on the small side do no feel small. The common areas were a nice place to relax at the end of the day.
We stayed in the fully renovated section
of the hotel and the room was spectacular.
The decor was elegant and bathroom was
immense.
We stayed at several 5 star hotels in
Switzerland and this was the most
beautiful
The location of this hotel is incredibly convenient, literally right next to the Metro 2 line that takes you directly to Lausanne main station. The rooms are extremely soundproofed and the staff was friendly.
Good location. It’s easy to go to Lausanne Gare by bus line 1 or Metro. The room is clean, nice and warm. Reception can keep our luggages on check-out date. Friendly and helpful staff.
This was a nice large room in an interesting hotel that is within 2-3 min. walking of the Lausanne train station. It served its purposes well. The staff are also very friendly.
the staff was super friendly. We arrived at the hotel super late at 2am, but the guy was very understanding and friendly. the room was very nice and super clean!
Everything regarding this hotel was fabulous. Location, Room, Staff, Breakfast
Excellent. One of the best places to stay in Laussane rather Switzerland
it was blistering hot in Lausanne so no A/C is a problem but this hotel did keep ice water at the checkin counter. we chose the hotel for the location.
