Location was very convenient for the main station - that we needed. The courtyard was very enjoyable to use. The temperature of the room was comfortable and the ability to open the "veranda" door for ventilation was appreciated. The staff were helpful also.

Location is perfect, just a quick 3 min walk from metro station. Breakfast was also nice, we got eveything we need. Staff were so helpfull when asked for help, just you need to remind eveything. For example: to get our "free tourist Lausanne travel card" we needed to remind the lady to give us, also during the breakfast when water of the coffee machine or anything runs low or runs out, you have to be reminded to replenish it.

My stay was made extra special due to the circumstances whereby both my Swiss mother and English father had worked in the hotel from 1939 and beyond (independently of each other) and eventually married in Geneva that led to me being born in Basle in 1946. Their General Manager was very helpful and supportive of my research to produce an illustrated book of their lives in Switzerland working in several of their very best hotels for 10 years before settling in England permanently.
