St Moritz is beautiful and the transport system is excellent.
However it is too expensive, beyond reason. 6CHF for a cup of tea. 9CHF for a bottle of sparkling water.
The best way to eat is to buy something at coop.
For the amount of money going into the economy they could keep their public toilets cleaner.

We only stayed for 1 night to catch the Glacier Express the next day. By the time we checked in and got settled, most points of attraction had closed except shops. Would have liked to arrive earlier in the day to explore. However, our one night stay was quite pricey (probably the most I have ever paid for a room hotel - granted this is St. Moritz at Christmas and we had a “family room” (queen bed room with adjacent room with bunk beds).
However, I fully enjoyed the Glacier Express, even though it was snowy & cloudy. Would love to do it again in the summer!

We went off season so many places were closed but what was open was perfect - a friendly welcome from everywhere we went. The Engadinia restaurant and the Parkhotel Margna in Sils were ideal places to eat. St. Moritz is easy to get around - we walked everywhere.
Great place to visit

It may be a rich man's play ground and the shops and the prices reflect that. It is a pleasant place to stay and the scenery is wonderful, but there are many other places in Switzerland where that is true. We stayed there because we wanted to travel on the Glacier Express and that ride is spectacular. We would not bother with St Moritz in the Summer otherwise.

Great location up in that mountain at 2000 m.
Great location up in that mountain at 2000 m. Superb staff especially Grillo & GIORGIA / very positive experience all together / I would indeed recommend this place to all mountain lovers
- It’s a comfortable mountain hotel, not too old
- great location
- The whole staff was kind and professional
- Restaurant menu
- breakfast staff attentive and nice
- Big shout out to the Sardinian bartender for his great cocktails, friendliness and for easily accommodating us for eating something
- The food was amazing, high quality products
- the whole process from parking the car/ check-in/ to che check-out was very comfortable, felt easy and nicely quick, we really appreciated it
The staff was superbly helpful. When a few things in my room did not work or malfunctioned, they sent for a service team right away. When they could not solve it the manager was gracious enough to give me a discount. The breakfast buffet had a large selection plus eggs of any choice. For expensive St. Moritz this was a good value.
The best was the 'Engadin Card' offered to guests who stay 2+ nights. It gives FREE (!) access to buses, trains and most important mountain cable cars.
Staying at Hotel Chesa Spuondas is a relaxing alternative to choosing something in downtown St. Moritz. The gardens and woods are soothing and it's interesting seeing and using the old ground floor public rooms such as the library. One of the gentlemen servers in the dining room was extremely friendly and attentive. The evening meals were small but interesting and tasty. The walk into town took approximately 40 minutes along a very pleasant mountain path.
We came to St.Moritz for hiking, and location of the hotel is perfect. It is 10 min. walk from funicular station, and a bus stop is right near the hotel. Hotel provides a card for free public transport and mountain railways, which is a very substantial saving for those who hike up in the mountains.
The hotel has a very nice pool and a small sauna. The restaurant on site is very good.
Staff was very helpful and speaks perfect English.
Rooms as per online description, cleanliness, polite staff, great restaurant with long enough evening opening hours (very important for Switzerland and especially on Sundays), location was excellent very central and views from the room.
As a plus I would also count the hotel bar in -1 that has a live performance (very talented guitarist) and very good drinks (price and quality).
The location is just perfect. The view—incredible. The rooms were simple and lovely. The windows looking out to the Lake were stunning. Michael greeted us with such warmth and was so helpful and kind! Really one of our favorite places. It was much more intimate and real than staying at one of the big resort hotels in St. Moritz. We will definitely go back!
Recently renovated (top floor rooms still under renovation) hotel. The staff were fantastic and helped us with so many things. Really great that they offer ski rental at the hotel, with such a short walk to the nearest ski lift.
The hotel restaurant serves wonderful food, and at better prices than any of the others we visited during our stay.
The staff was extremely professional, helpful and pleasant. The food in the lobby, the Italian restaurant and at the brunch was exquisite. Very clean and comfortable room. Amazing spa with different saunas, relaxing room and pool. We felt very well taken care of and enjoyed every moment in this wonderful hotel. Thank you!!
The room and everything in it was quite decent and very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. One note: if you go to the hostel by public transport be sure to get prepared beforehand - google maps shows the bus stop a ilttle off, and big streets in St. Moritz surprisely have no signs.
What a fantastic historic hotel! The lobby, the dining area, the restaurant, and the rooms were all amazing. Breakfast was fantastic with plenty of options. Staff was super friendly when I checked into the hotel and helpful with directions and recommendations.
the rooms are nice, spacious, the little extras make it convenient and are what you’d expect from a 5 star hotel. the staff is excellent, polite, welcoming and helpful. the food is excellent. the differentiator here is the service.
The best place in Switzerland that we've stayed. Great bed, bedding. Fantastic shower, great towels. The staff was very helpful with our stay. The bar has a great view of the Lake, so did our room. Breakfast was very good.
For the area we were in, this accommodation offered affordable pricing for the comfort level we stayed in. Rooms were quaint. Hotel restaurant had great views of the neighbourhood and very friendly staff.
Lovely hotel over looking the lake and close to railway station. Rooms were warm, clean and comfortable and staff were very helpful. Breakfast was excellent and dinner in the restaurant was high quality.
The hotel is large and has a swimming pool. the upper floors have elevator access and there is more than one restaurant on site. The reception staff were attentive and friendly.
Excellent location with very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Restaurant downstairs serves great fondue and pizza. Reasonable prices for Switzerland..
