Kura met us at the airport on arrival with eis (flower garland) and was very friendly, before we arrived at the accommodation, she offered to take us to the shop, there was fruit and water waiting there for us, she was very accommodating, the shower has good pressure and the air-conditioning was welcomed after the day spent at the motu, I highly recommend her place, it felt like we were at home, we will definitely be back, thank you Kura

The property was right on the beach where we got to enjoy beautiful sunsets. Well thought out good large clean space that was well equipped. Kayaks on the property if you like that. Nikki was lovely picking us up from the airport taking us to our car rental place, showing us where petrol and food places were then dropping us back at the airport on the day we left. He organised our lagoon cruise for us with a local which was amazing. Nothing was too much bother for him. We stayed one night in the lodge one in the beachside cabin. We preferred the cabin as it had aircon and a hose outside to wash our feet.

Fabulous beach front setting. Great deck area for morning breakfasts and drying gear. Loved taking the complimentary kayaks out on the lagoon to see all the different fish. Short walk to several good local takeaways or down the beach to the flash resort for cocktails or upmarket dinner. Airport pickup and drop off really appreciated. Scooter hire also arranged and dropped off at bungalow which was appreciated. We were really pleased we picked Sunny Beach Bungalows for our stay.

The weather was not the best, so hampered our judgement. The people were very nice and we were very pleased to have a rental car with Aircon, so we covered the whole island on driving adventures! However, it would be more convenient if the car hire places were at the airport, and/or they would work in more closely with the plane arrivals and departures (We had to wait 2 hours for our plane because the company dropped us there at 5pm, which is the latest they will work...) Include a walk around the island to get the feel of its fabulous location. We put the ambience before our food expectations - breakfasts were generous, lunches were our most enjoyed and the dinners relaxing with Thursday happy hour, local musicians playing and the location adding to a great holiday. A great Resort particularly suitable for young couples with as much or as little activity available as one could wish for.

The island of Aitutaki is not for everyone. There are no fancy shops or malls and limited deluxe restaurants. It is a place to get away from the busy life and enjoy peace and quiet. Walking the beaches and swimming are the main attractions.MichaelUnited States - 4.0Scored 4.0

Requests were not always met. Mostly closed on Island. restaurants would not allow us to book for dinner, they informed they were booked out. Couldn't get on excursions as they were saving them for a cruise ship. Waste of time going there.

Beautiful beaches and crystal clear sea surrounded and protected by a reef. Great location for those amazing South Pacific sunsets.
