The owners/ the parents of the owner, who run the hotel could not be friendlier, more helpful or the mum a better cook!!! Chose this hotel based on the comments about the food, knowing my husband would be in 7th heaven. We were not disappointed! Do not expect high-end luxury rooms and bathrooms, it is what it is, but, it is everything thing you need, clean and an insanely good price for that. Come for the warm family, friendly, welcoming atmosphere, and the best of Chinese hospitality you can get at any price!!! Loved our stay.

It was pretty close to gobei water town, like 5 minutes walking.

It was absolutely great! :) Great as a starting point for hiking from the Gubeikou to the Jinshanling Great Wall section.

Can't recommend this place enough! The location is great - you can get to the great wall with a short walk. The food was really tasty and the rooms were clean and felt new. Angela arranged for us to be picked up and dropped off further along the wall. Everything was reasonably priced.

The host and all staff were very helpful, polite, welcoming and friendly.

Fantastic stay! The host picked us up from the airport, served us a delicious diner even though it was late and helped us to purchase the Great Wall of China tickets. It could. It have been better … THANK YOU SO MUCH 🙏

Amazing experience at Flower Yard, the best hotel we stayed in our entire stay in Beijing and surroundings. The place is a lovely quiet courtyard located near Muntianyu Great Wall (10 min car drive). Owners are arty people, very welcoming and always ready to help. English speakers which was very helpful. The rooms are comfortable, the spacious rooftop offers stunning mountain view. Perfect for a lunch, coffee break or yoga session! Breakfast was very generous, arranged at the time we wanted, we appreciate the chilled vibes of this place. Very family- friendly, the kids can easily and safely play within the courtyard. Angel provides pottery classes so the kids could bring back cups as souvenirs. The surrounding are nice, it's possible to walk along the river and there is a paved route nearby for a run that provide nice view of the mountains and the river. Angel brought us to a nearby local restaurant that provided nice (and cheap) food. that owner also had a horse and it was posssible to do some horse drawn carrier, which we didnt do but it would have been appreciated by the kids (30 min 50 yuans if i remember well). As for the Muntianyu section of the great wall, it was great: restored with amazing views + possibility to take the cable car to go up and use the slides to go down so very fun for kids. Flower Yard is the kind of place that enables people to spend a fews days around the great wall area and appreciate the countryside outside Beijing. We chose to do it after the city visits and right before our departure back home. The international beijing airport is around one hour from the place, taxi and private car can be arranged very easily and no traffic to expect in this area so very stress free. as for the distance from Flower Yard to the city, the drive took about 1h10. We loved these relaxed fews days there, it was nice to have warm service given by Angel and her husband Tony.

We booked two rooms so this is the second review but I’ll save to much typing, just like the first one we all thought this property and experience was amazing.
