I absolutely loved Chunuu! It was easy walking distance to town (& you don’t have to climb any hills!). The staff were really helpful & friendly. There are so many nice places to relax around the property, even when it was busy on the weekend you could find somewhere quiet to relax.

Great location right in the village but still with a good view/outlook from the veranda/breakfast area. Loved sitting eating breakfast (which was GREAT by the way!) whilst watching all the humming birds! Staff were incredibly friendly :)

The dome we stayed in with our private jacuzzi was lovely, lovely terrace overlooking the mountains, I booked it for me and my partners anniversary. Good food, the staff are friendly and went above and beyond to cater for all my extra requests. Muchos gracias!

It was an unforgettable experience walking through nature, seeing the rivers and waterfalls. The variety of birds, the tranquility of being surrounded by so many sounds, breathtaking sunsets. I truly enjoyed the whole experience and place. Will do it again, highly recommended.

Lovely place to see birds, swim in some waterfalls, have some good coffee and chocolate on farms, get some craft beer. Very hot though— stay hydrated and pack sunscreen. I would recommend this place and advise hiking around to enjoy the nature.

Loved Minca so much.
Loved Minca so much. The town feels very catered to tourists and it was hard to find a cheap, local restaurant with a menu del dia for example but there are lots of good western-ish options and the wildlife/surrounding area is so beautiful. Highly recommend the Cerro Kennedy hike (stay at El Ramo) too.

Minca is a fantastic place to visit to get a sense of the mountainous area of Colombia and its lush and alluring jungle with all the glory of its flora and fauna. Only a short drive from the Santa Marta airport, you find ourself in a little village that is a haven to hikers, motocross bikers, and bird watchers. There are many places to eat with a variety of cuisines and for the most part the food was good. Our favorite activity was birdwatching. We had fantastic outings booked through Jungle Joe. Our guides Tony Martin and Gustavo Viloria were both extremely professional and informed. We loved the La Vittoria Coffee Plantation tucked away in the jungle. Another favorite was Rio Elemento, a hotel/restaurant on the banks of the river with an awesome swing that carries you over the rushing waters.ValerieUnited States - 6.0Scored 6.0

It is very pretty and I appreciated the access to other types of food since we had been traveling the Colombia for a bit and had been exclusively eating traditional colombian food. You cannot speak about Minca without mentioning the bugs, they are terrible! the worse part is you don’t really see them or know when you are being bit. You just look down and your legs are covered in bites. Also there is a new age spirituality vibe that is strongly felt in the town.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

The one with normal beds (non-bunk beds) are open rooms - so windows with no glass or only mesh and feel more open to nature (bathrooms a short walk away). We didn't swim on the river nearby, but they have a door and an interesting area to rest and take a sunbath. The room was clean and comfortable. I think they could improve the attention in reception, however they were kind to answer our questions and they keep our backpacks while we went to the Marinka waterfall. They don't use plastic straws, instead of that the gave us a glass one. Thank you Hotel Casa de Hadas.

We woke up to humming birds by our window and you could hear and see monkeys and all types of nature from our room.
