I stayed in the Don Saul Hotel an extra 2 weeks after the carnival days, what can I say about Don Saul Hotel as usual the room was clean and very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make my stay enjoyable. I worked 2 weeks from Don Saul Hotel and I never had issues with the internet connection which is very important for people who are traveling and working simultaneously.

Traffic in the city is very heavy, bordering on chaotic.
Traffic in the city is very heavy, bordering on chaotic. Taxis are recommended by this traveller. I would never try to drive there.
You must know Spanish, or you will be lost. A good translator app is helpful. A very nice restaurant is the Catedral Cafe, near the beautiful San Juan de Pasto Cathedral. We also enjoyed the Casona Taminango historical museum and day trips to the amazing Sanctuary of Las Lajas and the Laguna de la Cocha, where we took a boat excursion to the Isla La Corota and had the best trout ever at the Rancho Grande Restaurant.

It is a lovely city to connect with nature. Very clean has great public transportation. Best part is the people! They are friendly and helpful. There are lots of places to visit! Laguna de la Cocha, La cascada y Basílica de Sandoval, the Waterfalls hot springs! However Maragato Fall has no access! Is no longer available to public but it is on google maps as a must see.

City of about 1/2 million people with enough road for about 100,000 people, so typical Colombian traffic here. Nothing special in the way of culture (like Medellin or Bogota). For me it is a transit point that allows me to circumvent the higher price of air travel through Quito when I leave (or return to) Colombia across Rumichaca border crossing. If you stay in the Imbabura or Carchi province in Ecuador, it turns out much less expensive that going through Quito. If you are headed to Quito or points south, I'm not sure you'll ever have a reason to visit, although the scenery on the bus ride from Ipiales can be extraordinary, and better than I have gotten on many tourist bus tours. This part of the Country (Colombia) is quite beautiful and the engineering of the roads through mountainous terrain extraordinary. After a heavy rain you can see many streams and waterfalls on your way to Pasto. Best part of any trip to Pasto is getting there from the land border crossing.

The hotel, Hotel Vymar, is quite nice, especially for the money. The rooms are big and have an integrated closet and desk. The bathroom is big and the shower is surprisingly big with a rain shower head and hot water. The materials they used for the interior finish are of good quality, as well. There's also a restaurant/bar as part of the hotel.
I stayed in the Don Saul Hotel during carnival days, Don Saul Hotel has an amazing location. The room was clean and very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make my stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting downtown also they can help to organize tours to laguna de la cocha , santuario de las lajas citytour etc, so my feedback is 10 from 10. I hope I will be back next year at this Hotel
Is a small hotel with interesting themed rooms. It makes you curious about Pasto and its history. Colourfull and very modern the facilities are very good. Rooms and other areas are very clean and the cleaning staff is very atentive and always ready to help. The little restaurant at the top and the caffe downstairs serve very good food and safe you the time of going out into the cold, cold night of Pasto.
small but nice room and very comfortable bed. staff goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable - we especially appreciated the tea and biscuits in the evening, as well as the warming components placed in our bed! excellent value for money and I would recommend to anyone making a stop in Pasto. sadly we only had one night here.
The location was safe and nice. The hosts were really nice and helpful. They gave me a lot of useful recommendations about the city and helped me. The room was getting good sunlight and the bed was comfortable. There was a good restaurant around, which the host advised and there was a small market to buy necessary stuff.
It's a great price for a private room in Colombia and there is nothing to fault Juanambu, it's clean, has friendly check out times, amenities are provided like a kitchen and a towel and bar of soap free. Most of all the staff are super friendly and accommodating and will help you any way they can
The owner took great care of my parents when they arrived at this place. They even got a room at the first floor.
The room were great, the shower have hot water and the breakfast was amazing.
We will come back to that hotel, it is one of the best we went in that area.
An amazing experience. We felt right at home from the start: a warm and friendly host, amazing breakfasts served with a homely touch, an impeccable room, with great beds in a location that is easy to access and close to key places in Pasto.
The hotel is very clean and safe. You are right next door to a lovely plaza with a church and only a few minutes walking away from the main square. Breakfast in the morning was served on the rooftop terrace and was delicious!
Friendly staff, clean and relatively new. One of the nights a member of the staff sow as arrive and ask for our room number, minutes later showed up with some cheese and panela water. Nice touch
A really cozy and clean hostel. Loved the terrace! It was the perfect spot for relaxing and spending time with nice views. The owners were super nice and helpful.
