Mi Cabañita Guest House, hotel in Playa Blanca

Located in Playa Blanca, Mi Cabañita Guest House offers beachfront accommodation a few steps from Playa Blanca and provides various facilities, such as a garden, a terrace and a shared lounge.

This place was a real treat for me: the house is quite small, completely made on wood and hanging over the blue water, and just very cosy to be inside of. The hosts, Dianis and Macarena, are absolutely lovely :) For people to know, the WC facilities are quite basic (which totally didn't bother me): flushing is made with a water bucket and there's one shower without warm water (which is generally not needed under the caribbean heat). The breakfast is delicious, with a fair portion and quite diversed.

great little hotels and restaurants in the area but too many hawkers selling you stuff. Be careful with your personal items. Bring your own towels. Sunset beach restaurant had nice cabana types to relax and consume.

Loved it, although it does make a difference the time you pick to go ie, high season or low season. I went during the low season from Monday night to Wednesday starting the month of June, it wasn't crowded and was very enjoyable.

If you only have a day or two and need some beach time near Cartagena Playa Blanca works to get yourself in the Caribbean and walk on the sand. The water is clean and warm but the actual beach is quite narrow with many hostels built right out to the tide line and it is very busy with day trippers. Swim in the mornings and late afternoon before all the tour boats arrive and book a room at the far end of the beach- Playa Tranquila- with an upstairs balcony facing the ocean to have a little oasis to yourself when the afternoon activity happens. Food all along the beach is limited but we found the restaurant at Coral Azul to be quite good and with reasonable pricing

A wonderful rustic shack on the beach, with delicious food and caring staff. Stunning ocean and beach views. They advertise WiFi but what they mean is that there is good cellular data reception at the property. Relax, enjoy but don't ring unreasonable expectations. Flushing the toilet with a bucket of ocean water isn't all that bad. Cold water showers feel really refreshing after a day of beach walking! Chill. Relax. Enjoy!

First of all, the beach view is so beautiful that this is actually my second time at this place. I was very happy to see that they changed all the energy to solar powered. The first time I staid they had a motor that created nose at night, and I could not seep. BUT this time they don’t have the motor because they changed it to solar power witch is AMAZING. The staff and everyone around is very welcoming and fun, not to mention the FOOD, very authentic and different from all the places I tried. The rooms were very comfortable and clean with sooo much fresh breeze. I love all the amazing picture i took for my INSTAGRAM 🤗 I definitely recommend this place! I will be going back next year and stay a little longer next time!!

If you want a tranquil stay on a picture perfect beach...

If you want a tranquil stay on a picture perfect beach thisis not the place. From the moment you arrive there is a constant swarm of relentless vendors. Jet skis continually pass up and down the shoreline asking if you want to rent time on the jetski. They are too close to swimmers and often pass in between them. Overall experience, we felt like we are at the mercy of pirates. Would not go back.
