I was working while my family enjoyed the hotel. It was convenient to have a restaurant on site and 2 pools. I was disappointed that the playground was removed though.

Spectacular views and friendly staff
The villas were large and spacious
Food in the restaurant and breakfast was fantastic and reasonably priced
The receptionist could not have been more friendly and helpful and she booked all of our excursions for us.
The animal sanctuary next door is well worth a visit and is a great charity to support.
Offering an outdoor pool surrounded by an area with loungers, Tree of Life Cabinas is located in Dominicalito, between Uvita and Dominical and accessible by 4-wheel drive vehicles only.

Exceptionally peaceful stay immersed in nature and all the sounds that come with it. A great experience.

Although I loved Pacific Edge Eco Lodge and would definitely return, I found the little town of Dominical a bit off-putting. Seemed to be filled with aging gringos with no particular layout or planning. The beach was gorgeous though.
Also, we visited Naucaya Waterfall, several miles from Dominical which was fabulous.

Beautiful laid-back area with lots of things to do within an easy drive. Great beach area and a charming little town with lots of great places to shop and dine. We especially loved waffle fries at Fuego Brewing Company (and the cute treetop vibe), tacos at Hotel Rio Del Lindo, and homemade empanadas at Mama Toucans Natural Foods Store.

Dominical is like Ubud or Goa in the 90s- a chilled yoga/surf town. Hippie yoga pants and hammocks are on sale in the shops; Mama toucans sells pretty much everything from vegan food, chocolate and cosmetics. The food here is phenomenal: Phat noodle is excellent, Fuego brews its own beer from passion fruit to a blonde lager and has an excellent menu, the Pescado loco is a small menu but omg the fish taco was sublime. The restaurants are laid back but are really world class food stops. Very close to nauyaca waterfall, the reptile Centre, Alturas and Uvita & whale tail. But the best part is the excellent yoga on offer at Danyasa, which has the most beautiful yoga shala I have ever been in. Rockstar yoga is also great- fab teachers & a lovely space. I loved this place. Super friendly - feels v safe for a female traveler. Quite a few long term residents & off-griders here

If you love surfing, quiet beach town vibes.
If you love surfing, quiet beach town vibes. This is your place. We surfed every day. It’s beautiful. Some great restaurants around too like the Thai place. We did yoga in the yoga place up the road too. And there’s an organic market ‘mama toucan’ where we got some yummmy food as I’m Gluten Free and dairy free and there was lots of options for me

We loved the beach and there were lots of places to get a variety of food and drink. We loved the pineapple juice from the beach bar and also the milk shakes and frappe from the ice cream place just as you turn into Dominical from the main road. There was a lovely walk along the river road too.
Great location just outside of the busy area and away from the higher-end places. A short walk to the beach and several surf board rental places. Beautiful gardens, amazing pictures on the wall in the room, great communal seating area. The owner was very laid back and welcoming, he provided a ton of information about the town and things to do in the area. There was also a binder full of amazing information. Thank you for taking such great care of your guests!
Villas Alturas is in a great location for exploring the southern zone of Costa Rica. The accommodations are comfortable and clean. The views are amazing and we saw dozens of white faced monkeys coming up the road to the Villas. The animal Sanctuary is right next door and dining is nearby in Dominical or Uvita. The staff is warm and friendly and the chef was very accommodating for our Vegan diet.
Tribe Boutique Hotel is a gem amongst the already serene Dominical environment. It's welcoming and loving energy is felt throughout the entire property. Tribe goes above and beyond to provide a comfortable, relaxing, and harmonious communal vibe. Tribe has truly created something special and I will make sure to recommend a stay to anyone and everyone. Thank you for the fantastic experience.
Proximity to the beach, ensuite bathrooms, ability to do laundry, owner was accessible & responsive to small problems, amazing view and large sitting area outside, the outdoor yoga class located in the facility at the bottom of the hill the property is on. The games (we played Rummikub every night!) Stunning views, especially at dusk!
The view from the lodge is nothing short of stunning and the property is gorgeous. It's also conveniently situated within a short distance from several beautiful (and empty) beaches. Sid and Michaelynn are fantastic hosts: warm, friendly, and hospitable. Breakfast was fresh and delicious - well worth the extra fee. Highly recommended.
Perfect location with river view, 10 minutes walk to the beach but also great to spent the day at the hotel itself lounging on the beds around the pool. Excellent organic store in front to shop lunch supplies. Breakfast in the morning at the hotel is also convenient. Rooms are nice and very clean.
The hotel owner was extremely helpful and friendly. He gave us some great tips on where to go for everything we needed. They were also very accommodating that I was a bit late for check out. Hammocks outside in the common area were wonderful. Very close to the beach. Felt very secure.
It was beautiful. Cozy. The pool was great and the kids spent all their time in when we were not at the beach. It’s is big enough and not too small. Close to everything and able to walk. Food was really good and met the needs of my picky eaters.
The grounds are lovely with lots of plants and a great pool area. The rooms are quite small, but have a lovely private patio area. We really loved staying in dominical and next to the river. Very cool vibe and beaches around here
Very nice and clean rooms, friendly staff, nice pool and a superb view. Very easy to get to Dominical, Uvita and several tours from the hotel. Group of monkeys close by, nice to watch. Breakfast and restaurant were very good.
Very nice hostel for Dominical. Close to the beach and a small walk to the center. Beautiful garden with a pool and the kitchen is big and clean. Staff is helpful and kind. We will come back! Also good price!
