It's a budget hotel in a great location. We had an issue with our room on the first night and were moved to another room the next day immediately without any quibbles or fuss. The pool is lovely, it's a convenient walk to the restaurants nearby. Great value for money, lovely vibe in Playa Hermosa.

it is a surfer beach yet is a very relaxing beach with little or no development depending where you parked. You can see some wildlife and occasionally whales jumping far out the coast line. The waves are strong so it is not great for swimming. The pool was fantastic and we loved the hammocks on the beach just outside of the hotel. The AC in the rooms worked well (thank goodness!) We loved watching the local surf competition on Saturday (it starts at around 4pm every Saturday right in front of the hotel). And it was super convenient to have restaurants on either side which let us get food and drinks easily. We would absolutely stay here again!

We instantly felt like home and didn’t even want to leave. The Picknick-Breakfast was phenomenal, an amazing experience. It was really a highlight for us. Everything is just made with so much love and effort. We were so happy to stay there and will never forget our time here. Highly recommend going there if you can! If we come back to Costa Rica, we will definitely come back. 💌

In general the place is nice, the swimming pools are great, the green areas are beautiful and the costumer service is excellent too. The location is one of the best things, less than 2 hours from San José and close to many other beaches. The relation between price and quality is correct. The problem is that you have no privacy except when you hide behind curtains in your room. That is because path to the bar is next to the only window of your room and there is no garden only to the “hotel” guests. It seems ok for staying one night but 3 nights with lack of privacy, noise from road and bar were too much for me.

They coordinated a shuttle for us from the airport and had absolutely no issues with our Service Dog which was also amazing.
