Beautiful garden, super clean and cosy room. Room was very comfy, big enought, well eguipet. Keilyn was great hoste. We realy love eatery and little shop on this lodge. Pleace with great vibe and nice location just few minutes

Really nice place to stay at Playa Negra. The host was a pretty cool guy who helped us with everything, including finding a transportation alternative back to San José as our shuttle got canceled. He was always friendly and told us a few cool stories about his life. He also had some good advices of where to surf and we had the opportunity to get a mountainbike.
The room was clean and comfortable. We had a refrigerator and a coffee machine. He gave us the coffee for every morning.
Macarena, the dog of the place, was really cute and friendly, too.
A supermarket and the beach could be reached within a few minutes. The beach was nearly empty, so it was really relaxing.
I can really recommend this place!

I had the most wonderful experience at this lodge. Everything is perfect, the bungalows are modern and clean, the bed is so comfortable, the bathroom is exceptional. I would sit and stare at the amazing view mountain and sea view from my bungalow most evenings. My bungalow even had a bed with a built in large flat screen TV that would retract in and out of the bed frame. The site also had a wonderful infinity pool, a bar and eating area where lovely breakfasts are being serviced. The lodge also has a hot tub hut with a relaxing hot tub. All in all a very peaceful and relaxing experience and its close enough to Tamarindo or another nearby beach that have a large variety of bars and restaurants with a vibrant atmosphere. Lolo who is the owner of the lodge provides a wonderful service and make sure you are happy and comfortable at all times and is always up for a fun chat :) The BEST news is that the road to the lodge has now been fixed so it is comfortably accessible for all cars! You cannot go wrong with this lovely piece of paradise.

The place is really nice, quiet and pretty in the middle of nature. I read some comments that you need a 4x4 to get there but we had a normal car and it was totally fine. Road is ok :).

I found this gem of a place in 2022 and was excited to come back! Set in the nature, with private and unique path to the beach, grabbing a surf from the rental shop on site and getting to the beach early is a magic ...the cabins are comfortable and beds are spacious. Sebastian, the manger, was friendly and helpful attending to us during our short but busy stay! Can't wait to come back and stay for days to fully immerse.
Really enjoyed the quaint town of Playa Negra. It is a welcoming refresh after the touristy-ness of Tamarindo. A little off the beaten path, Playa Negra has just everything you need. A few small cafes and restaurants, some small mini markets for groceries, and a beautiful piece of coastline. We were there to surf and it did not disappoint! The bigger wave of Playa Negra was really fun. There was also a smaller beach break right next to it which was great for learning. We also enjoyed going to a Sunday art market at the local skatepark. It is a small town but absolutely beautiful! Would definitely come again!

Playa Negra is beautiful!
Playa Negra is beautiful! The vibe is very relaxed and friendly. It is very close to Playa Avellanas, just a 10-15 min drive on a bumpy dirt road. Lolas on the beach, il Rustico and Blu are all fabulous restaurants we would highly recommend!
