The location was phenomenal. The veranda out side the room had a good view, was sheltered from the sun and a pleasant place to sit. The Hotel is set amongst forest and almost on the beach. The wildlife comes to you. The swimming pool has seen better days but it’s in a very special location and the capuchin monkeys regularly visit to hang out with their family. The beach is totally amazing. Manuel Antonio is only a 10 minute jaunt along the beach. This hotel is an experience in itself. Well worth a visit.

A lovely little place! It looked bigger and more lush in the photos, but the room we stayed in matched the pics exactly: it was spacious, clean, and comfortable with everything we needed. The included breakfast was delicious. Most notably, the host who helped us (I wish I'd gotten her name!) provided fabulous service with a ready smile and lovely sense of humor!

We had a very early start for a tour and they obliged with giving us a packed breakfast. The staff were friendly and accommodating.
Featuring its own rainforest canopy tour and zip line, La Foresta Nature Resort has a beautiful setting outside Quepos.

Quepos is a good central location from which to do all manner of activities. I love the farmers market on Friday PM/Saturday AM. Scuba diving is just okay as the visibility even in the dry season is limited. Check out the farm tour at Villa Vanilla (they can pick up from Quepos if you don't have a car) and the bus to Manuel Antonio Park (worth the hype but buy your tickets online before you go) and all the attractions along the way is only 380 colones.

Quepos is a tourist trap, all designed around Manuel Antonio national park. The hard sell is tough bbbuuutt the beauty of the rainforest is amazing. A weekend in this tiny place is easily enough, I would not recommend staying longer.

We stayed outside of Quepos which I would recommend.
We stayed outside of Quepos which I would recommend. Quepos is an authentic town to shop and eat at. We loved walking around to explore and eat. We liked the market for the shopping and the coffee shop! We were able to walk around Quepos very easily and get back to the bus downtown no problem.

The city is not big, quite busy, there are a few restaurants (some crazy expensive) and shops. Manuel Antonio Park, on the other hand, is completely overrated. I haven't seen such a crowded place in all of Costa Rica! I am disappointed and angry that I had to travel such a long way to get to an uninteresting place. I do not recommend!

The last point of our trip.
The last point of our trip. So many great things we have seen. But at the end of this incredible nature, do you have to experience this greed for money along the road to the national park? No! Just keep stopping in this country and be amazed. Quepos is not a MUST.

Quepos is super crowded and to pricy for what it offers!
Quepos is super crowded and to pricy for what it offers! If you want to find some nice place nearby Quepos just have a short ride with a car and go south of Quepos to find some nice and lonely beaches!
After a tiring stay in a hostel, we just wanted a break and rest. And we didn't want a hotel on the route to the national park. Everything overpriced.
The location is wonderful. The rooms are wonderful. The pool of the ressort is a blessing. The cuisine is very good. You should eat there.
But.
It is located on a road where very loud trucks thunder along all night.
It was our end of staying in Costa Rica. It was a good end in this ressort, but....

The owners were very kind and generous - one evening he prepared smoked fish for us. He shared many of the fruit from the trees on property. He was eager to share Costa Rican culture, food, and wildlife, and make our stay an experience - apparently he has done cooking classes for other guests. Walking distance to the beach was wonderful. Our kids loved the pool. The house (2nd story, where we stayed) was nice. The kitchen and eating space worked great for us. The porch for early morning coffee was great.
My stay at Buena Vista was wonderful. The location is unbeatable - just steps from the beach and a short walk to the national park. My room had a big balcony with a lovely view of the beach. There are beach chairs with umbrellas and towels for guests to use. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. They have servers on the beach so you don't have to stop sunbathing to get food or drinks. Room was nice and comfortable.
Amazing homestay in Quepos. The family are so friendly and looked after our belongings before and after check out. The place is really clean and the bed is really comfy. You can use their kitchen which is super well equipped. The location is great really close to the bus station for Manuel Antonio National Park and other places in Costa Rica. Oh and they have a lovely dog! Would definitely recommend staying here.
Really quite expensive, but really quite nice! The private rooms are very tidy and very comfortable (mini fridge, en-suite etc) The pool is a great size, and was rarely crowded (we worried that it would be) Loved being in Quepos town (for easy bus connections, super market shops, restaurants etc) The best bit was the communal spaces - absolutely gorgeous; plants, hammoks, quiet space, big kitchen, dining area...
Nice spacious room but it was located next to the swimming pool where is loud music on until 10pm so if you need to have a rest or go to sleep earlier that’s not the right place to go. Unfortunately there was no warm water in the bathroom. The hotel is located a 10 minute drive from Quepos. We enjoyed the food - was really tasty.
Nayla & Justin are super hosts! They were always available when we needed something, very pleasant, professional & accommodating! The place is very clean, secure, comfortable, quiet, modern, has hot water, A/C, wifi and laundry service available. It was nice to be within walking distance to all amenities in Quepos.
It’s a really amazing hostel with a very nice pool and common area to chill in, the kitchen is probably the best of any hostel I’ve been to, very well equipped and spacious and beautiful. Rooms are quite simple, but there’s lockers! Lots of shared bathrooms and staff very helpful. Perfectly situated in Quepos.
amazing and very nice staff ! very helpful and kind !
very lovely, clean, big and confortable room
I had room 20 and it was super quite !
very close to bus stop to the parc, sodas and a few minutes from the seaside of quepos
I saw 2 aras at 6h30 am in the tree right in front of the hotel ! PURA VIDA !
We stayed there for 2 times. It’s just one the best view in Costa Rica. If you want to enjoy just take Double room (Vida, Allegria) Staff was really nice. You have a waterfall without people just close to the hotel. But please ask staff how to get there. We saw a big snake and tookans 😂
No meal included but hosts loaned us some dishes so we could have cereal in the mornings. We had a fridge. Very helpful and friendly family. Made some great recommendations for walks and restaurants. A little away from Quepos town center but I liked that. Still easy to walk everywhere.
On the beach. Got to visit turtle conservation program nearby and was able to participate in turtle release. Surf lessons available. Near Manuel Antonio National Park. Miguel is super friendly. He makes his own furniture so there’s this special feel of a very simple life.
Comfortable, spacious and good air con. Wonderful to have laundry after hiking Camino de Costa Rica for 14 days. Met the owners’ son who manages the property and he was very receptive to our feedback. Highly recommend. good value
Perfect location and very nice and helpful staff. Really close to bus station and all the interesting places in Quepos.
The price is good for what they offer. Better than more expensive hostels around Costa Rica.
Excellent value! William took care of us from beginning to end. He was very accommodating and helpful. It was nice to have a kitchen for a few days. Quepos is a great town
Great location near reserve Manuel Antonio gate and beach. Very comfortable apartment with all you need and bed. Hot water which is not a standard on Costa Rica.
