I like walking around the city on both sides of the bridge.
I like walking around the city on both sides of the bridge. It is funny how the stores do not really follow an opening/closure schedule so if you might like doing some shopping you should forget about the beach day and walk around the nice stores. There is a nice and new art gallery called Bagira Artist and Gallery, the artist is an open heart person and her job is superb! She allowed me to visit the installations during a time that everything was closed.

For the price that was charged I expected way more.
For the price that was charged I expected way more. For instance they don't have any parking on site. Very often the closest on-street parking I could find was a long walk away and this was very frustrating. The room we stayed in was shown as ocean view but it was kind of a side view. Again, this would have been fine for much lower cost but at about USD 350 a night I expected at least parking at the facility (even if it meant paying some more). Also charging for Coffee pods was silly, keep in mind I was paying USD 1350 for the stay and they wanted to add 5 more bucks for the coffee pods!
Outside of the above, rest was fine. One of the staff was very helpful. Place was very clean and the the full property was well maintained. The main tourist area is about a 15 minute walk so the location is not bad.

Willemstad, capital of Curaçao, enchants with colorful Dutch colonial style architecture, as in Punda and Otrobanda. Its crystal clear beaches offer spectacular diving. The floating Queen Emma Bridge and the Floating Market are attractions to be seen.

I have been to Curacao twice, and still have not been to Mambo Beach. Otherwise the downtown area is a must for a visit. The point in bridge at night lights up, you have the Curacao sign, the Dushi sign and the iguana. All around just a beautuful island with beautiful people.

Willemstad is an authentic and colorful Caribbean city with a very interesting Dutch colonial architecture in both sides of the city. To my surprise, I found that Otrobanda (where we've stayed) has been beautifully renovated with some parts full of cultural buildings, museums, small colorful streets and excellent street-art displays. The highlight is the magnificent view of the harbour and the bridge that rotates full of lights, it's an spectacle!
There isn't a frequent or reliable public transportation, almost none in the city. I found it very disappointing to be obligated to rent a car or take Taxis to get around.

I was there for work so I really had no time to enjoy much of Curaçao and Willemstad. But the city felt nice and safe. It has a beautiful architecture that really reflects its UNESCO world heritage status. I enjoyed the visit to the acquarium on Mambo beach, the bar at the windsurf school at Spaanse Water and the maritime history museum downtown. Still a lot of things to see and I didn't even make it to the beach!
If like me you hate trashy resorts and prissy boutique hotels, Bed & Bike Jan Thiel is probably your best bet in Curacao. Located in an upscale residential neighborhood, it has the advantage of not being stranded amid the desolation of derelict downtown Willemstad. The swimming pool is great. You can cook your own meals in the communal outdoor kitchen or have a bite at the bar (the menu is always the same, but at least it's there). The colorful buildings can be seen from a distance and it really felt cozy. They have Netflix.
The purpose of my vacation was to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday... I never mentioned to the staff about my daughter's birthday but was pleasantly surprised when we entered the room it was decorated with balloons and a happy birthday card from the hotel ... that was amazing and made my daughter felt extra special ... the view from. Our room was magnificent .. directly in line with the beautiful Queen Emma's Bridge .. the overall presentation of the hotel was 10/10 for me.
Amazing beach right on the property free for the hotel guests. staff were friendly. good snorkelling spots too, really enjoyed the beach day and night.
the room was lovely, spacious. the AC sad isn’t work but got fixed straight away. Nice coffee machines in the rooms. nice restaurant at the hotel and on the beach too. there was a pool too by the apartments and plenty of space for parking. nice views for the neighbourhood.
everything was lovely
Sean’s place is absolutely fantastic! the location is perfect, you can walk to Mambo beach or easily drive to anywhere in the island. The room is clean, cute and comfortable, it was a great base for the week that we stayed. There is also a very generous electricity allowance (not very common on Curacao) included in the price so value for money is good too. Sean is so welcoming and helpful we will definitely stay again!
-The VIEW from the oceanfront rooms is AMAZING!!! It exceeded our expectations.
-Breakfast options are awesome, be sure to try the Saint Tropex signature option...it's great!
-All the area of the pool is just A MA ZING. The staff, the bartenders, the pool itself, the cabanas, etc. P.S. Sem was a great host at the pool area as Alice was very kind at the front desk.
-Be sure to try the hotel's Awa Lamunchi!!!
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was large and comfortable, with a very nice modern bathroom. The roof bar was fantastic, with a stunning view and a relaxing atmosphere around the infinity pool. The location was perfect, right in the middle of the Pietermaai district and the center of Punda. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Curaçao!
We stayed only one night. The apartments are only a 5 minute drive from the Curaçao airport so a perfect location for those arriving from Europe on one of the evening flights and connecting the next morning to Aruba or Bonaire.
We were tired after a long day of travelling and enjoyed that we could have a light dinner and a cold beer upon arrival.
Beautiful property. Nice rooms. 2. Nice pools. Restaurants had delicious food. Plenty of free parking. Slightly lengthy check in but check out was quick. Definitely need a car here if you want to eat somewhere else. All employees were very friendly and helpful. Did not care for Curacao in general but this hotel made our vacation worthwhile
This Villa is an absolute hidden gem, you have everything what you need for the good time spend on Curaçao!
Patty and her family and stuff are very warm and welcoming people you feel like at home.Any minor problem was quickly and easily fixed. The breakfast was always great, our room spacious and had AC. Highly recommended!
Kotniki is a hidden gem on Curacao. By far the most luxurious resort on the island. The rooms give a feel of privacy within the forest, with private access to the natural pools. Beach is only a 3 min walk from the rooms, with great bars and restaurants.
The apartment is excellent. The breakfast is good too.
Clear and Shirley are amazing persons. Always close to help you giving some tips about some beautiful places to know in Curaçao.
I highly recommend the staying there.
I liked nothing. It is a scam
When we reached it was a dance school. ROA dance school curacao , google it. The lady there had the nerve to, she also wasted our time, gladly we got help from the neighbors😪
Staff makes up for any discrepancies. Hotel is a little old HOWEVER, so what. Waters are immaculate, beach is breathtaking. Food is great.
Casino on point!
Apartment was clean and close to the pool. Staff super friendly and very accommodating. This will definetly be my go to place when I'm visiting curacao.
Centrally located close to the Curacao and Dushi signs. Lots of restaurants nearby and shops also. The Queen Emma Bridge is a couple minutes walk away.
