Platres Village in winter is a magical escape that exceeded my expectations. The charming streets adorned with snow create a picturesque scene straight out of a fairytale. The cozy cafes and traditional taverns offer warm respite from the cold, serving up delicious local cuisine and hot beverages that warm the soul. The surrounding Troodos Mountains provide the perfect backdrop for winter adventures, with opportunities for skiing, snowboarding, and scenic hikes through snow-covered trails. Whether you're seeking relaxation or outdoor thrills, Platres Village in winter promises an unforgettable experience filled with warmth and wonder.

The hotel is rated 4 star and I would say it is getting the 4 star on facilities . It is very tired and in need of serious maintenance and upliftment . In its heyday of 1950 it probably was fantastic . Compared to other 4 star hotels it is falling behind standards. But it has a wonderful location

Platres is a lovely moiuntain village with a good mix of restaurants, bars and relaxtion points, Great for starting mountain walks or just kicking back in the village,
We would also highly recommend the chocolate workshop experience at Cyprus Chocolates. Educational and informative with a passionate host in Eugene.
You get to try all different kinds of chocolates and there's no obligation to buy. Though I'm defy anyone to leave without picking up a little treat. :)

Deep woods. Very cool temperature - chilly at night.
Deep woods. Very cool temperature - chilly at night. Nightingales in May-June. Small waterfalls, very nice walks through the woods. Lavender activities. Beautiful early XXth century architecture, typical only in Platres. Red bricks, turrets and pinnacles. Nice tavernas. Nice small kids playground in the village centre. Perfect for a quiet, cosy trip.

Having a terrace overlooking the mountain , in the center of Platres but very quiet as well was a real blessing. The host mr Polydoros , was very nice , friendly and checking out if we needed something else. It was Cyprus hospitality at its best.
Excellent hotel. Great service
The room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was delicious. The lady at reception was very helpful, not just on checkin and checkout, but also to give directions to spots. The location is great - very near to Mylomeris Waterfall and the Centre of Platres. I would recommend it to friends, and I will definitely stay again if I am back in Platres
The hotel is situated in Platres, the best place to be I believe if you choose vacation in the mountains. Semiramis lodge is a boutique hotel under a new, very friendly, management. The dinner, cooked by the chef/manager was very good. The place is very quiet and ideal for couples or single travelers. We loved sitting in the yard and having our meal or coffee/sweet.
The location was good, in the centre of Pano Platres although there is a disused hotel next door which was the only thing that I could see from my bedroom window. The breakfast was also good, delicious and well prepared by helpful and professional staff. However, there was only an automatic coffee machine so, no real cappuccinos.
An overall high rating is in context of what we were looking for. We chose this for the area and walking trails. Secluded, a longish walk from Platres. Not a place for those who don’t like isolation. Rustic cabin experience with no frills but really well equipped. Communication excellent. We loved it.
Amaizing nature around the hotel and lovely view. Interesting interiors. Helpful stuff. Absolutely serene atmosphere before weekend but a little noisy during the weekend. The beginning of September is a must time to visit that hotel if you are looking for the place to have a rest from heat and hustle.
The family that owned the inn was excellent. They were all so kind. I loved the breakfast and the location. My room was perfect. This was a safe place for solo female travelers. And there was close access to public transportation, as I did not rent a car while in Cyprus. Great hiking nearby.
We like our stay in this house, it was amaithing to have sauna after skying in Troodos. All our stay was comforfable. Perfect place to spend time with plesure in Platres, super location near to the village centet, clouse to restorants, cafe/bars, shops, but not on the main road.
Nice, slightly tucked away location, you need a car to get to town. Feels like it's in the middle of a forest. We visited in the Fall so the hotel was super empty and very quite, we also were not in position to use any facilities.
The accommodation meets my expectations. The service ist perfect. Every time you had some small problem in the accommodation, it was quickly fixed.
The location is perfect if you want to visit the Cyprus mountains.
Both breakfast and dinner were excellent. Large traditional house with period furniture, featuring a bath (good for a long soak after a hard walk). Quiet location but quite close to the centre of Platres.
Historic landmark in Cyprus and excellent starting point to explore the Troodos mountain range. Nice breakfast and rooms are quite nice with nice terrace overlooking a sea of trees.
Highly recommended
The location is great, in the center of Platres with beautiful views from the room which is of very high quality. The service was excellent, I would definitely come again.
A dream house in the mountains and the perfect view. We loved the location and bed was so comfy felt like a very nice hotel bed. We will definitely come back.
