Beautiful, interesting place - the palace itself is worth seeing and the neighborhood is cute (Valtice is a pretty, small town). We stayed there for only one night while travelling, but we enjoyed walking around the palace in the morning. Our room was quite basic, but very clean and moody. The staff at the reception was very nice and helpful. We ate in the restaurant in the evening, and despite long waiting and a few minor order mistakes, we really enjoyed it. Local wine is great, and the food was nice too. The breakfast was exceptional, though.

So many options what to do, from walking in the vineyards, enjoying historical sites, cycling, great food and wine in the local cellars or visiting neighbouring villages - there is always thing to do.MilosCzech Republic - 10Scored 10
There is so much to see in Valtice that one day was not...
There is so much to see in Valtice that one day was not enough for us. If you rush you may get it all in but it would not be enjoyable. We traveled in the off season and it was beautiful. We will return in peak season to see the gardens and enjoy all the area has to offer. Keep in mind most things close at 4:00.

Valtice is a small city with a pittoresque main square and a beautiful castle. Most of the buildings have been renovated and kept the historic style. There is a laid back atmoshhere as the town is not too touristic. Cycle tracks are leading through vineyards to Ledice and Mikulov. It is not just Valtice but three cities that are close to each other - Valtice, Lednice and Mikulov. Beautiful castles, huge gardens, a lot to see by walking, riding bicycles or using a horse carriage. Historic sites that are marked by UNESCO as a European garden.

It's far enough from the town to experience silence, appreciate fresh air and walks in the surrounding vineyards. breakfasts are served in a nice space. modern design, good quality furniture both in the room and common areas. free parking in front of the property. good location for stargazing, if you own a telescope you might think of bringing it with you :)

The accommodation is spacious, neat, clean, and has a small kitchenette. There is also a nice garden with a swimming pool but we did not use it as the weather was not very hot. Another positive feature is a parking place at the site. The owner is friendly and helpful. She called us before arrival, met us at the site and showed the apartment. To check out we could just leave the key on the table and leave. I strongly recommend this facility.

She was doing all she can to get me the invoice, to which I am entitled to 😁 OMG. She was very helpful. She waited for me in front of the hotel, wrote all directions how to enter, offered me a drink.
